As a UI/UX designer, I can't express how much I love this design - looks clean and professional, it's self intuitive, removes a lot of unnecessary steps that Infinite currently makes you take (i.e scrolling through however many gamemodes instead of just selecting specific modes), and most importantly... it brings back pregame lobbies!
This kind of quality-of-life change would bring players in so fast its not even funny. Truly amazing work, I wish this video could get a view from all 20 million of us who have played the game. Be proud, you really have outdone yourself and most of the gaming industry with this.

This one (though better than infinites), does feel a bit to close to warzone or apex / overwatch style UI and has lost a bit of the 'originality halo'. Just my own thoughts :) Still a MUCH MUCH improved version than what we currently have

My only complaint with your UI is your background really as I think instead of the Halo Ring it should be showing off your spartan in some way and show your team like the one we have now but maybe a bit different so it matches your UI Other than that great UI Also what did you use to make this?
Should do a video of how we could add badges/medals ( sorta like apex) to our playercard and how that would look. Maybe an optional counter for the amount of medals you have, ie double kills.
18:26 , Halo 5 beta had a UI like this, people would quit the game during the loading when they saw they were getting matched VS a Pro or higher rank players.
Seems like a matchmaking problem, because you’d just get requeued with the same ranks? If I’m being honest I don’t like the medal based ranks, would rather the 1 to 50 progression based ranks
@@ZenkaiGoose IMO, it's both a matchmaking and UI/UX issue. If you give too much player info before the game is ''locked in''/started, players can backed out of the game to get an easier match up. In Halo infinite's case, I don't know when it counts as a loss if you quit(in loading, at game starts, etc), but UI shouldn't give any players info(rank, gamertag, etc., keep the ''players found'') before the ''quitting will count as a loss'' flag is ON. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea, but UI and matchmaking code have to work together to not let players quit with no consequences after seeing this info

You could see every single player, their team, their party, their armour, their rank, their comendations, their emblem, service tag, the current map, and the map vote buttons. All of that information was avalible in seconds without having to access any sub menus. Just a quick vertical scroll. Don't reinevent the wheel, use reach as your base and improve upon.

It's better, but still doesn't really feel too much like Halo, but it's a lot closer than the original UI. I need that giant word 'HALO' on the screen. I really love the customization screens though.
When one man can create a better set up halo game than an ENTIRE COMPANY! 343 is an absolute joke. This was amazing! You did an amazing job of just everything in this video! I love your concepts and creative designs to have a more player focused game. 343 should be taking Notes. Will they? Probably not, the CEO’s of 343 and Microsoft are dummer than a 1st grader from South Park. So I have no hope in them lol

As a person who plays and enjoys videogames, the problem is you've taken the UI design of every other video game out there. I hate the nav bar at the top of every multiplayer shooter these days. It is hard on the neck and the eyes to look up, even if just a diminutive amount, that's why radar scanning is easier in Halo than Call of Duty. Halo has had a history of favoring vertical drop lists and menus and for good reason, it's the best system when you have lots of playlists, lots of modes, lots of players, lots of maps, it's hubris to just believe that you should use your screen real estate in service of ultra-minimalism. Halo 2 has this really stylized and animated blue to the UI but it doesn't feel cluttered or hard to read at all and it really helps the title stand out in a sea of UIs with white text on a translucent black box. Hell, I'm a big fan of Halo 4's card system because you can actually cram a lot of information into a card and when cards overlap, it is really efficient use of screen real estate. Basically, Halo's always anchored game info to the mid left anchor and player info either on the right side anchor or in Halo 4 on the bottom anchor.

343i don’t know what made halo popular over the years, hints forth the franchise needs to learn and quick or die out.
