On January 11 1944 the William Dashells crew were all killed when they took a direct hit in the bomb bay. The original tail gunner wasn't allowed to go with his crew that day as he'd been wounded on a prior mission. Yrs later he was my high school teacher and we became good friends until he passed in 97. Every January 11th we remembered them as I still do. R.I.P. George Morrison
I felt so many emotions during this show. WWII was heartbreaking, so many lives lost.
