Most of the time carbon plates are reserved for running shoes, but some people like them for walking as well. The carbon plates are getting more common in trail running recently, Nike just released it’s first plated trail shoe. The feel of plated shoes is unique, so consider that when wearing them. Imo it would be a hard shoe to wear… to keep them spotless or to take them on a big hike…
They look nice, after years of wearing the same pair of vivobarefoot shoes i konda look at shoes different. I see the clunk and weight and foot room. Would be curious to hear you wear some for a month and give a review
So when retailers have items that aren’t selling or are not as popular or maybe product that people don’t care for they will mark it down to try to get rid of it that’s why it was cheap because people weren’t buying that line of product.

You are definitely right about the Made in China aspect, as an American I have seen our own products start to dwindle in quality and made in usa is no longer anything you would EVER see on anything. China has successfully replaced American production and even our own American's cannot accept this knowing 79% of our appliances were manufactured in China.
