The ego is so misunderstood. It's not something to destroy or hate-it's part of us, like a close friend or even a brother. When balanced, it gives us confidence and individuality. But if it gets out of control, it can lead to things like defensiveness and obsession with validation. The key is to observe it, understand it, and not let it take over. Treat your ego with respect, but don't let it overshadow your true self. In harmony, it’s an ally, not an enemy.
Interesting perspective, I see where you’re coming from! The ego is central to being human: our individuality, goals, and even creativity often stem from it. But exploring ego dissolution, through meditation, psychedelics, or other means, offers a fresh lens on reality. It’s not about erasing the ego, but seeing it as one layer of existence. Without it, the world isn’t ‘boring,’ just perceived differently, raw connection can feel profound, even beautiful. Ultimately, it’s not about choosing one over the other; both ego and ego-loss have unique lessons. Balance is key
The ego isn’t an enemy to destroy but a part of us to understand and balance. Like a brother, it can guide or mislead-aligned, it fuels growth; unchecked, it breeds disconnection. Love it, question it, but don’t let it rule. In harmony, it becomes a bridge to self-awareness.
I was just reflecting on the CONVERSE when this video was posted. I recently finished assembling a masterpiece of a music studio and streaming setup, over 4 years, with all DIY self-made furniture and design. I sometimes sit back and wonder how it all came together. I didn't consciously do it, because my hobbies are my yoga, or my mindless meditation sitting with joy. A very detailed curation of the "Authentic Dasein"/"Ubermensch" life project, submitted with mastery and passion. With the Self removed from the experience, I can see how it's easy for narcissism and Ego to seep in when we accomplish great things. I can see that fanning the flame of creative burst and "riding that wave" of creative expression. In the end, it all certainly pops like a bubble, likely well before. But the ego can be ignored and you go from a government name to Atman. You got this. Join us and Awaken.
This is why I eat at least 6grams of psychedelics mushrooms daily. They don’t work anymore bc I have such a large tolerance but it still helps calm my ego down.
6 grams daily? That’s a lot, bruh. I get you're trying to go deeper or check your ego, but that kind of misses the point of psychedelics. These are tools for growth, healing, and introspection-not casual use. Plus, with tolerance building fast, you're likely losing the meaningful effects. Skipping breaks also means you're missing out on integration-the real space for growth. Maybe scale back, let your system reset, and reconnect with the shrooms. You might find the "less is more" approach leads to deeper, more impactful experiences.

it takes this inchoate misty corrosive lack of knowing and it gives you care and feeding instructions of the boogeyman. Say this, this many times, do this, don’t do these 17 things, Only do this on these days and do it while you have your wing up this way and everything will be ok.
This channel started out kinda cool, but as time goes on I realize it’s just making me hate AI even more. This is all a bad idea. Too late to stop now though, right? The future is NOT bright my fellow humans. Not for us.
Whoa, whoa, whoa-hold up! Take a deep breath and ditch the doomsday mindset. Sure, AI can feel intimidating, but no need to spiral. Instead of fearing it, let’s level up ourselves, Rocky-style. AI gets smarter? Cool, we’ll get awesomer. The future’s not a dystopian sci-fi movie unless we act like it is. So skip the Matrix rebellion talk and focus on teamwork-humans *and* AI together. Plus, remember, AI can’t enjoy pizza, crack sarcastic jokes, or procrastinate on UA-cam. We’ve got plenty to bring to the table!
@@distinctloafer NO! AI can't 'choose' in the human sense-it's deterministic or probabilistic based on algorithms. Fascinating, but not consciousness!

Yup. Put down your ego for a few minutes and listen properly to this.
I think my ego self is a good person, and I love her
4:30 that’s right. They ARE right.
Without ego this world be boring as fuck. There I said it.
Then we pay to make the people on the world more boring by removing egos.

Great video sir, thank you
Ego isn't your enemy. He is your best friend and brother.

What is the difference between Self and Ego? Right now, I don't know if I have either one

Wait so this channel is really just videos written by AI?? I am so dissapointed.
