now that the basketball 1's have started to sell out, I wonder if the narrative of them being 'bricks' (which they werent even) will change.
I have a feeling a lot of people will start switching up as soon as they don't have a chance to get them. I really don't understand some people's mentality where they think a shoe is bad if it doesn't sell out. The Basketballs are fire.
Well some of us like buying shoes we like, others only buy them if they have resell value. I love the fact I can actually get a shoe that I want so I’m glad they didn’t immediately sell out and will be getting the clay color of the 86 low. I went with the carbon/carbon for the 1, talc and the la runner so I’m happy. Thanks for the slide review, I was thinking about them but I’ll pass for now and see if they come with something better.
Tbh ur probably right people will switch up cause i myself am kinda disappointed i passed on sesame basketball sneaker and now its sold out i should have went with my inner feeling vs listening to others never again.
Bummed I did my xmas shopping b4 buying. (Adulting) but im gna have to go snag 11.5 on aftermarket. Good thing tho as I was planning on an 11. I guess waiting paying resell is better than buying twice.

Just got mine today, if you put your hands and eyes on these sneakers, there’s no gotdamn way you can tell me they’re not $250 shoes.
You got Yeezys 350 and 700s out here cost $240-$300 and these blow them out the water.
The materials are next level, the foam is a higher quality than boost, the RF welds on the fabric, no loose strings anywhere, no glue splatters, no blue light imperfections. If you’re complaining, when some damn 30 year old Jordans are costing $180 with crooked lace holes, warped rubber, inferior leather and Jordan 3/4s $230+ again with crazy QC issues.
I own all them shoes, this right here coulda said Prada or LV on it and costs $700 and no one woulda said shit.
Adidas has some Gucci Sambas for six bills….next person that complains about price needs to stop slobbing Yeezy nuts and get a damn real job. I’m actually happy y’all crying. Easily my best cop of the year, no Travis Scott bs half a million people peeps on SNKRS trying to cop three size 11s. These are a W all day. Might even double up

Great video! FINALLY someone addressed the cushion system. Everyone keeps saying the shoes have boost.
Definitely! I was curious why everyone thought it was boost. Lightstrike is a superior cushioning system from boost and lighter, but unfortunately it needs space to expand like most foams.
Amazing vid bro! Already got the 1s and the la runner, just waiting on the 86 because i didnt know which color i wanted. Talc are my favorite and im glad theres a tone variance compared to the la. This vid really helped with that 🙏
Absolutely! I am actually on the same boat where I wasn't sure which color to get. After getting the Talc in hand, I am really debating on getting the Sesame 86's. The grey upper on that cream sole looks amazing. I did hear rumors of a black colorway dropping in 2024, but we'll see!

I purchased the runners and the 86's, I cant wait for the black runner boot to come out! These have design cues from the EQT basketball model but Jerry is a genius!

Great informational video, thanks for sharing these details, I'd have liked to see this before I placed my order for the 1 basketballs but I went TTS since unfortunately I didn't see the recommendation from Jerry's post on Instagram on time regarding going .5 up on sizing but based on your suggestion I think that I'll need tk go full size up to me, I'm in the process of cancelling it, it seems that it was possible to cancel it but we'll see
It might be a bit hard to cancel unfortunately :( FoG is known for their bullshit final sale.
MUCH better review. I can actually understand what you're sayin. And I'm glad to hear your size review on the 86. I got TTS but was getting worried since almost everyone sayin to size up half a size. I'm an 8 in Sambas and Stans so I got an 8 in the 86. Hopefully it fits fine when I get it.

I do like this video alot, however for the sizing on the middle shoe he had the LA exclusive fear of god, I recommend going up half a size only it’ll give you some wiggle room at the top and like he said it will hug your full foot. Really great video btw and I appreciate your video it helps out the community of sneaker heads
I think it really depends on the shape of the foot.
I did purchase a 0.5 up from my TTS and it was still quite a bit tight on the width. I think for normal width feet, going up 0.5 is 100% perfect.
Great video first off. I'm glad u explained the different shoes n sizing. So when I wear yeezys I would go up a half size from an 11.5 to a 12 that was my size for 350s, but when I got a 500 I felt it was a little snug so I would go a half size up from the 350 size. I think when I do purchase a pair of the basketball shoe I think I'm gonna go with a 12.5 which is a full size up from my TTS.

Yeah! I think the 86 Lo works with a lot of different pants. Versatile shape!
It’s crazy cause I purchased all 3 and share the exact same feeling. The Los Angles was surprisingly my favorite also. But I do like the 86 lo slightly more than the Athletic 1. Overall I thought the footwear aspect of the collection was really good.
The LA runner is incredibly slept on! The 86 lo is honestly a great silhouette as well! I have a feeling that I will come around to it once I get my proper size and start throwing fits together. The footwear aspect of the first drop was pretty great. (excluding the slides haha)

@@johnnguyen1716 Personally, I think you might be safer going up 0.5 if you do have really wide feet. I have wide feet, but going TTS was actually a pretty enjoyable experience. Do you normally go up 0.5 in new balances or any other retro runner? They fit similarly to 990v3’s .

The lightstrike is comfortable, but just maybe not was squishy as other lifestyle models! Hopefully you like your pair!
Lightstrike is a more advanced and comfortable cushion, also lighter. More expensive than boost as well, issue is the midsole isn’t made to allow for flex so you don’t feel it but it.
So yeah mines came in and I see what you mean. The upper looks like fabric in pics but it’s like tpu sticker over it. It feels very stiff. And I get some rubbing on the heel where the booty is.
The packaging is grade a thought at least for this model. Silver dust bags, 3 layer box and the rubber 3 strips on top. Resellers can’t claim the dead stock cause just opening the box you can undue it.

So it did take around a week or so for the items to ship, but once it was dropped off to onTrac, the delivery was within a day or so!

Lets gooo! The sesame's are great in hand. I might pick up the Carbons once they drop in other third party website! I also hear there is a black toe version as well as a green toe version coming. Jerry gave a few people an all-white pair during art basal so that might also be on the way.

On the contrary to your opinion on the slide… if you want the European version, it’s harder to find (basically impossible now) & would cost more after taxes, & duties. He ironically just brought the EU slide worldwide & made it widely accessible & fairly priced for what it is.
Personally, I think it isnt really comfortable. I kept all the other pairs but returned the slides.

Bought the 86 lows in Sesame, I should’ve bought the clays off adidas when I had the chance to test sizing! I like the Talcs too but I got too many whiteish bone color, and I love how the Sesames are a tone lower. Clays are an easy third choice for me
The Sesame 86’s look so good though! I think the clays will be dropping soon at other retailers so keep an eye out. I am actually debating on buying those sesame’s soon haha 😈

@@FashionForwardAlways no worries! I am just trying to figure out what the sesame color is because I am used the color sesame being a shade like, well, tahini, but this looks more like a medium grey?
@@daverowland22 Honestly, I think you described it really well with Tahini 😂 It is like a more dusty sand color where it’s slightly darker than just regular tan. It could be the color balancing during editing, but the medium grey is probably closer to talc.

I wasn't able to return my size 9 unfortunately since I got them from fear of god's website. They did not allow for any returns on the shoes unfortunately. I might be keeping them or giving them to a friend for christmas haha.

I heard the white ones might be F&F as he gave them to a few people close to the FOG team. I'm hoping that those will drop Q1/Q2 of next year, but we'll see.

How’s the thickness of the sole for the LA runner? Is it as thick as it appears on the outside? The 86 seems to have a thick and cushioned sole, but it’s actually much thinner…
The sole is actually thinner than you would expect! The height of the sole actually goes down to the fear of god backplate so it isn’t very well cushioned. It has a lot more ground-feel compared to the other two models.
Question: do you get the full sole on the la runners or does it go to about the fear of god black sign?

Personally, I think going your true to size is probably your best bet for these as they are definitively accommodating for wide feet. you can give the 10's a try if you need them asap! I heard that they are dropping in 3 other colors this upcoming year.

I would say the Los Angeles is the most comfortable!
Do you prefer the Athletic 1 or Yeezy Quantum silhouette?
I would say that I like the idea of the quantum, but prefer the Basketball 1 in execution. The yeezy quantum has so many prototypes that were much better than the released version. The Basketball 1 feels more like a completed finished product with more polish.
Are other colorways coming for the runner?
There was an all black color and a black/white color that was leaked! I heard Q2 2024.
Carbon carbon or sesame? Which you like more?
That's a good question. I need to get the Carbons in hand, but I really do like the look and incognito look of the Carbon/Carbon. The sesame's are nice with the different colored toe area, but the Carbons look killer.

For the Los Angeles, I would go true to size. I think they only recommend half size up for the Basketball 1
