You'd never know that Kate and Cheryl didn't get along. Or should I say, Kate didn't care for Cheryl, not from watching scenes like this. They really seem to care about each other. Awesome acting!!!
Kate got nominated twice for Charlie's Angels. "Target: Angels" and "Angel in Love". A testament to her terrific acting skills. She didn't care for Cheryl because Cheryl pushed her career by means of (d)alliances, was bossy to the little people behind the scenes and did some sneaky things to Kate who was a pro. That's why Kate managed to pull off this scene anyway. She's an amazing actress.
I think it’s the other way around. Kate was more of a bully to Cheryl. Even on camera it seemed to be that both her and Cheryl were close friends but off the camera they are not. Kate missed Farrah and I guess that makes sense.

She is known for wearing bikinis but was never able to carry the show once Kate had left. And so it all wend downhill. Fast! When Shelley tried to replace Kate, Cheryl started to bully Shelley. Cheryl's lover Ed Lakso (writer) and Nolan Miller (costume designer) helped Cheryl. And soon Shelley was kicked out. Later Cheryl would say on camera that she loved Shelley and that she was such a great girl...
