Wow i know you have $ on the line, but you sure dont want to take any chances with your line.I use 80# braid for muskies lol by the way mono sinks as well just a lot slower.
Before I knew what I was doing I fished frogs with 20 lb braid and I lost several frogs to fish around 1 to 1.5 lbs when I tried to pull them out of thick weed mats. There's no way in hell I'd trust 30 if I hooked a decent 3 or 4 lber in a weed mat, never mind anything larger than that. I'd say 50 is the minimum for froggin, and anywhere heavy cover and true giants in that 10+ lb range would certainly call for 80.
I like throwing my poppers on 50lb braid to a really short leader on 15lb fluro. I’ve never had an issue with that.
Whats the point of a 15lb leader?? Fishing pads and thick vegetation will pop that leader.
@@pandafox94 never said anything about fishing around vegetation or pads. None in my area.
With walking baits, Choppo / Ploppers I add two bobber stops
to the braid to help prevent line in the hooks issue
Very informative!
Great tips.
Thanks bro

Lol 80#. Try 30 pound. Thinner line cuts vegetation like a knife. You’re also not going to break it.
