- Thought i'd just do a quick video and fly by of my mint Gilera DNA 50 with its new Stage 6 70cc Big Bore installed, Standard it would do 45-47 MPH de-restricted on a flat , Now well ill let you find out what it will do now!!!
I would definitely recommend this big bore kit over any of the others such as the Malossi and Polini for value for money. Once you have run the kit in correctly its a monster , trust me its worth the wait !!!!!
Set-Up as follows :
- Stage 6 Street race 70cc kit
- Stage 6 Pro Replica exhaust
- Malossi multivar variator and white clutch contra spring
- Stage 6 5g roller weights
- Polini + 20% clutch springs (bronze)
- NGK iridium spark plug ( BR8EIX)
- size 72 main jet
- standard air box with powerflo air filter
- Carbon fibre racing reed petals
- RMS full circle racing crankshaft
Hope you enjoy the vid , excuse the terrible wind noise from my Drift Stealth 2 helmet camera.
Whoever rebuilt that engine must be a pure genius, and what ever you paid him wasn't enough!....
+Tiger moth , Yeah me ;)
Would like to get a DNA 50 and put the engine out of the 180cc runner
Your ragging the bike when it's still cold for one and for 2 why are you trying to act like it's got gears 🤣🤣🤣
He didnt even attempt to act that it has gears
Thier fast for 50cc and 70cc quicker than most 125cc motorbikes I have polini 70cc gilera dna
use 5.00g or 5.30g11
Please read the full specification in the details below the video. Thanks.
Hi, would you recommend the Gilera DNA with a 70's kit over a geared 50cc bike? Also how are you experiences for the reliability of the Gilera DNA as I am thinking of getting one. Cheers
The DNA is my sons bike. We were lucky enough to find an immaculate, low mileage (only 900 miles) bike with only one previous female owner. A lot of DNA's have been totally abused over the years by their numerous 16 yr old owners - so reliability is sometimes an issue. Ours has been fine so far and its now covered 7,500 miles. When we first got it (at 900 miles) we de-restricted it by up-jetting the carb, modifying the exhaust and removing the variator spacer (but this will probably have been done on most other DNA's by now). Once we did that it would max out at about 45-47 mph. Then, at about 4,500 miles we decided to upgrade the engine to 70cc (full spec in the title above). Now, with the 70cc kit fitted it will top out at about 'an indicated' 70mph and the acceleration is much, much better.
Whether you go for an automatic or a geared bike is a personal preference i suppose - as auto's are easier to ride but less involving than a geared bike. Cheers, and ride safe.
Streetrace, replica, sure its BIG BORE🤣
Its not big bore its mid race 😃
Ressort trop mou galet trop lourd vas plutôt sur du violet malossi poussé et embrayage vert gris a tester aussi galet 4 grms a 4.5 grms tu doit prendre au moin 11500 rpm pour l'exploiter comme il faut
