he is but that's not what we should be taking away from his legacy he said it clear as day his first raps sounded just like everyone else did only difference is his friends didn't make fun of him for a bad free style nowadays kids be like ohh stop you're making me cringe or something lame
It's high level improv based on a system, I'm guessing. Just like a pianist has tons of known quantities they toss around inside a new piece, Mack has to have drilled a long list of phrases at different cadences, so he's just tying in the last few syllables of the new target to those. Again, very difficult, but a system nonetheless.
THE GREATEST. PERIOD. One of the most talented and hardworking people in the music industry. It feels so good to see Harry getting his recognition and props. He has earned it all and then some. That Pillsbury bar was FIRE too. Harry was soaking in that moment and the smile on his face is priceless!

25 years ago he would have already been a megastar. But in today's rap industry, a master freestyler is over qualified. The crazy thing is he will probably be better off carving out a specialty niche- for nostalgic rap fans probably in an older demographic. Because today's popular rap fans are conditioned to appreciate.... other things.

By far, Harry Mack is the best freestyle rapper of all time. The undisputed GOAT in the underground freestyle rap world. Nice to see the mainstream world finally paying attention. And nice to see Jennifer with her own show, I had no idea. I voted for her on American Idol, she is still looking fine. In my mind, she is tied with Fantasia as the best two singers in Idol history.

His humility is so genuine. I really love his "brand". He keeps it 100% all the time and really loves what he does. NEVER EVER disappoints, keeps it positive, does it all how he wants it, (not a sellout) and legitimately worked hard for all his (very dedicated) fans. Everything he's done and stands for makes him a pioneer of his domain. Most of all he doesn't act and talk like he's some kind of hard ass gangsta or thug. He's just HARRY MACK and that is WAY cooler than all that other BS.

Mack is the GOAT in this genre, that is for sure… (been a fan for years) Glad to finally see him getting big. He’s a good soul who deserves it. An inspiration to those how have struggled with addiction… All while being a class act and seemingly genuine person. That’s damn impressive in my opinion.

Harry Mack is the world's greatest freestyle KING and a Living Legend. There is no one on this planet who can match his skills. This is coming from a 40 year veteran of the music industry from the the beginning of Hip Hop. I have seen them all known and unknown but never in my life have I witnessed someone on Harry Mack's level. I am anxious to see where the music takes him. Harry Mack is not only genuine and not trying to be something or someone he is not. He is just himself and humble and that is the biggest reason why he is one of the few artists that I have ever genuinely respected! H Mack to the Stars and Beyond!

I seen him on this exact episode by pure happenstance, looked him up and had a chance to see him last week in Phoenix. Harry Mack is the whole truth on the mic.
Harry was gracious enough to take me under his wing in 2020. He taught me things that honed my skill and progressed my own style. He's from Portland and his impact is felt all the way in the DMV. Truly one of the best freestylers of all time.

Eminem is a writer, he was never particularly good as a freestyler tbh, that's why Juice beat him. Proof was a noticeably stronger freestyler. Unless you think the Westwood freestyles are off the top, those are pretty strong but I think they're pre-written.
Freestylers like Super Nat and King Los are the type of rappers you want to look to for harry mack level freestyles. (And Supa Hot Fire ofc, he's a goat)
