No,i'm not a friend of this ,why you have to beat the Champ twice in a row to be considered as the real Champion,every time a ex Champ gets a immediate rematch it's like the new champion has to prove he is really the Champ,why?
I think the dethroned Champ has to prove something and has to show he is better than the other contenders so 1-2 wins over top competition should it be to get a rematch.

@@WretchedDrummer Mexico is becoming strong, it was high time. I have been practicing and following the sport for 15 years and things are changing. I remember when very few people knew what was Jiujitsu or even what MMA meant. We have a very strong tradition in boxing but not in wrestling. Time to catch up!

I started boxing and Muay Thai about 10 years ago and the attitude at the time was that boxing was the weakest weapon in Muay Thai and MMA. I love that boxing is finally getting the respect it deserves as weapons in MMA and Muay Thai.

Congrats to Alexa for the hard work and training she brought to this battle. Valentina has a real opponent between her and the belt and will show no mercy the next time they meet. This loss will make their next encounter will be seismic. Complacency is understandable when you have been so dominant for so long. Valentina will be back stronger and harder!

Upset? Grass got round 1, Shevchenko 2 and 3, and Grasso was winning round 4. It was not an upset. Shevchenko couldn't trade with Grasso. She was forced to take her to the ground to win rounds, and didn't do any damage when she did. Shevchenko is beautiful??? 😬 You have low standards, my man! Alexa Grasso DIDN'T do a rear naked choke but rear naked CHIN LOCK. A move that is found in PRO WRESTLING and catch wrestling($HOOT/LEGIT version of pro wrestling). Look Baez youtube channel of Shayna Baszler and she will explain the technique that earned Grasso the victory.
Rematch ? Of course. It seems designed for it. With 50% it was a work, not a shoot. With the other 50% it was the worst jaw choke defence on this level of competition.

I think this was amazing however in a rematch, I would be VERY cautious....
Here's what I think about Valentina: she is one of the well known women fighters of all time in UFC history, she got skills and confidence on to herself, and I believe that Valentina would one day face off against Grasso, for a second rematch opportunity facing Grasso for the UFC Womens Flyweight Championship. I mean great victory by Grasso, she deserve it, and both of these women were great. Excellent.

IMO there should not be an immediate rematch, Alexa needs to gain more experience before fighting Valentina a second time, she needs more development, championship came early for her.
