I regularly watch your videos and must say how informative, well presented and professional they all are. I especially like the way you narrate over the video as you can hear clearly what you are saying without struggling to hear over wind noise..look forward to future videos
Thank you, Rod. Your videos have really helped me during lockdown. They are very calming and also informative, of course. I look forward to the episodes. Well done with the charity too...stay safe mate.
Super video as always Rods, well done on reaching 3k plus, should be over 30k plus with great content and tips in all your videos.Great gesture for the Stroke association as well. Stay safe and keep your uploads coming.
Another great video Rod, and I think those wind turbines were blowing the fish your way, crikey good haul.. Keep going with the filming, love it. And a great cause Rod. 👍
It's been a pretty dismal week (Essex moved to Tier 4 on 20 December) so what better way to end the week than by watching this video armed with a cup of freshly brewed coffee, some oat biscuits and some strong cheddar cheese followed by a glass of brandy? Unfortunately, I can't have a cigar as well (I only smoke one every 3 or 4 months and nothing else) since I am not allowed to smoke indoors and the power cable to the desk top isn't long enough to enable me to take the desktop outside! A couple of pleasant sessions and by heck you certainly worked the second session! When we come out of restrictions / lockdown, I think I'll take a trip to Whitstable and have a go myself. Thanks for posting this and, as ever, a great video. Have as good a Christmas as you can in the circumstances and I hope all our lives are better in 2021. Cheers. Ken
Really enjoyed that as always pal. You fish some great spots and it is always enjoyable. Hope you have a good xmas and will be looking forward to the next one as always. GPS fishing has give you a shout out and is making the sheppy rig!! All the best
Thanks for watching MJC3811 and for the heads-up. I cover how I make my Sheppey rigs and the different permutations in my next video; which is from Grain, overlooking the Isle of Sheppey. I also catch some fish on them!
Great vid nice that you accurately show your location. I live just down the road from there . Have you tried slightly further towards the east near the Hampton there is a pier and a rocky sea defence its quite good for mackerel.
Another cracking video rod, gets the thumbs up from me, same as your kind gesture to donate to charity.. Merry Christmas en happy new year.. Look forward to your next video many thanks Andy 👍👍👍👍
Excellent video, very entertaining and so well presented etc. You could try for a National record for the most whiting returned uninsured in a 2 hour session. Merry Christmas and Bountiful New Year.
Another good video. When the whiting are feeding like piranha it becomes very difficult to get anything else. Hope you catch your target fish on your next video
Good fishing and looks a good fishing area. 👍👍👍 Would like to try this area. With the ‘Ads, I believe you have to watch the Ad for it to count rather than Skip Ad.
Yes Andy - that would be nice. One of the theories going around is that, with the cleaning up and clearing of the Thames estuary water, the bass have eaten the flounder fry. Thanks for watching.
Thanks Tony. The term refers to placing the bend of your hook in the clip of a cascade swivel and or other devices on your rig to keep everything tight and stream-lined in flight. I'll have to explain in better, with a close up, in a future video!
I looked at the STREET on maps and wondered do you fish on one side on the flood and the other side on the ebb ? It looks as if there are great food holding areas on either side dependant on tide etc
Hi Mike - I fished either side and the tidal pull runs from left to right as you look out to sea. I might be wrong, but I don't think it makes a lot of difference which side you fish - but if anyone knows any different, I'd be glad to hear. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Thankyou I've ordered one... I live right on southend seafront and bought beachcasters when I moved here, what are the best marks to fish and is there a local baitdigger to get fresh lug and rag from?
Good choice Dave. Yes - the hollow tip is shorter - its a real 'broom stick' with that attached - good for big fish, strong current, rough ground work. Mine will only get used now and again.

Another great video Rod, and I think those wind turbines were blowing the fish your way, crikey good haul.. Keep going with the filming, love it. And a great cause Rod. 👍
Thanks Martin 👍Just thinking about all those cod swimming around those turbines, being disorientated and deciding not to bother to come inshore!
@@rodsangleuk6283 ha, yes very disorientated Rod. Next time I'm sure. 👍
Well done Rod, thanks for the upload.
My pleasure
Well done Rod, on the fishing and the charity donations, top man. Merry Christmas.

@@rodsangleuk6283 Well I will be looking forward to that mate. Thanks for taking the time to respond as well.
Thank you Rod for this one.
Very welcome John.
That brings back memories. I lived in Tankerton for a couple of years. Used to walk out on the Street at low tide.
Yes - its quite a unique feature. Good fishing either side of it. Thanks for watching Laurie.
Great video and have a merry Christmas and an even better new year 😊
Thanks! You too!
Another excellent video - almost as good as being there myself. Wishing you a very happy Christmas all the way from NZ :-)
Many thanks Ian - best wishes to you too.
I`m fishing there tomorrow SAT 18th Dece, great content and interesting to watch. Many Thanks Rod
Good luck Duncan! I fished the ebb at Fraser Hill - bit of a struggle there today - water was very clear. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great vid nice that you accurately show your location. I live just down the road from there . Have you tried slightly further towards the east near the Hampton there is a pier and a rocky sea defence its quite good for mackerel.
Thanks Alex - I've looked at the area mentioned a couple of times, but have yet to fish there - will do at some point.

Thanks Anthony and season's greetings to you too.
Thank you Rod enjoyed
Thanks for that Mark.

Thanks for that Andy - still waiting for dabs to arrive in numbers.
Good fishing and looks a good fishing area. 👍👍👍 Would like to try this area.
With the ‘Ads, I believe you have to watch the Ad for it to count rather than Skip Ad.
Thanks Andrew. Not sure about the Ads - maybe they're a better watch than seeing me catch whiting!
Well done mate good day fishing over two days
Thanks Peter👍
Awesome Content !!!
Appreciate it!
10 out of 10 mate ✔✔✔
Many thanks for that Graham.
Hi thanks hope that the schoolie bass get bigger and start eating the whitting
Yes Andy - that would be nice. One of the theories going around is that, with the cleaning up and clearing of the Thames estuary water, the bass have eaten the flounder fry. Thanks for watching.
As always agood informitive video, we're you originally a course fishermen as your style reminds me of one?all the best for new year stay safe
Thanks Andrew - I course match fish; my sea fishing is for pleasure.
Great video again. What does clipping down for a longer cast mean?
Thanks Tony. The term refers to placing the bend of your hook in the clip of a cascade swivel and or other devices on your rig to keep everything tight and stream-lined in flight. I'll have to explain in better, with a close up, in a future video!
Love the content, I am looking to get back out there in very similar conditions, what is your rod and reel set up?
Thanks Tim. Its a Colmic 07 Superior and Penn Afffinity 7000.
Another good one Rod, can I ask where you got the "continental" weights from?
Thanks Graham - I just source the weights from which ever tackle shop I happen to be in and see them on display!
Many thanks for the quick answer, cannot find them anywhere in southampton area, Merry Xmas. Tight lines, GP.
@@grahamporter5415 look up Shorecast.co.uk based just by the football ground here in Southampton.

Where did you get your seat box with the back rest from? I've looked everywhere and can't find one.
I got mine online Jim - can't remember
Its a RidgeMonkey Bucketseat XL system - you should be able to 'Google' for one - that's how I found mine Jim.
Thankyou I've ordered one... I live right on southend seafront and bought beachcasters when I moved here, what are the best marks to fish and is there a local baitdigger to get fresh lug and rag from?
Just got the zero 7 4.60 mt. is your power tip the same length as the white tip, my power tip is shorter??
Good choice Dave. Yes - the hollow tip is shorter - its a real 'broom stick' with that attached - good for big fish, strong current, rough ground work. Mine will only get used now and again.
@@rodsangleuk6283 cheers bud ,use it for the hounds on East coast 👍👍
Rod great video
May I ask what recording device do you use?
Thanks James - I use several action cameras.
