2001. This was an official tourney held not too long after Guilty Gear X blew up in Japan. You can tell it's that old because the gameplay portion of the footage is nowhere near as high-quality as what you would see in later tournaments. (Even EVO 2004's footage looks more crisp than this one.)
Old comment and you probably don't use this account anymore but they likely filmed it with a splitter direct from the cab, then put the matches on DVD, but had to compress and edit the raw footage. No idea if the Naomi was on 15k or 31k dipswitch either.
