Shit, I'm in that part of youtube again. That's bad, very bad for my pockets. Everytime it ends up with the need of buying them all. It's like a drug :)
Andy has made me blow so much money on pedals and then when i get them i’m like “damn i suck”. Its the guitarist, he is a beast and the way he plays with no pick even when full strumming, it just sounds good
Dang I love how every time EQD is mentioned anywhere, they always have to use some weird adjective to describe Akron. The Foggy Canyon of Akron, Ohio. Dibs on Foggy Canyons as a band name. Also you made me preorder one of these, and start learning Grape Vine. Thanks so much.
They make Akron sound like a mystical place where trolls, fairies and wizards exist. Mountainous forests with caves and springs with thick fog carpeting emerald green grass and stars that sing and dance in the ambient sky. In reality it's just friggin Ohio.
As a lifelong native of Akron, please trust me when I say there are absolutely No Foggy Canyons or anything mystical whatsoever about this place. It has an OK valley, a bunch of repurposed old tyre factories (EQD might be in one of them , but no. Not really. That's a lie, lol), the home of alcoholic anonymous, and various drug addicts. Akron is to be avoided at all costs.
Ordered this on strength of demos. Really handy box to have in front of dirt. Even ignoring the trem, the filter portion, both as envelope and fixed, together with ability to set it as a strong boost, is very useful just about anywhere on the knob. And double bonus, since pre-dirt is where I like trem anyway. Haven't found much use for the LFO function, though -- really doesn't take the place of a phaser or a vibe (effects I don't really use anyway).
chrisdeitzel Can you set it up to play without the notch filter(phaser sound) in the mix as well? I'm trying to decide on a Harmonic Trem to get, and this one seems like it has the best, features for what I want.
Hey Andy! Since this pedal is a trem/phase/boost combo, and since I prefer phaser before OD, how well would the tremolo effect work up front? It might be weird. I use a Cluster Fuzz for the Neil "Cinnamon" rhythm tone (thanks to you!), and the new, small Carl Martin PlexiDrive for a Tom Petty "Mary Jane" rhythm, plus a ZenDrive 'Black Magic' for early Santana/Beck/Gilmour/Blackmore, ect... thick, sustaining leads. I also really like the fact that I could use this box as a solo/mid boost into those two rhythm pedals, plus they're in the right order for stacking. Pretty rad! It would give me 8 different voicings... I think... I dunno... I lost count!!! :D
Thinking of replacing my old V1 Hummingbird with this, I think this is just a tad more versatile for dynamic playing. I do love my Hummingbird though, even if it is the old outdated version.
I love my Trems, filters, phasers etc and owned many including the Night wire. I personally prefer to use separate dedicated pedal fx as you have more control. Sending my fave envelope filter into quality harmonic trem gives far better results. Personal choice I know. Good demo though and Andy is amazing.
+wgb01001 yes, the actual physical box played on that track. it's a modded harmonic percolator with a super low gain silicon in Q1 and a super high gain (and high leakage) germanium in Q2. slightly misbiased, and with silicon diodes instead of germanium.
+weadapt That's awesome man, nice work! My favorite dirt pedal is the Catalinbread Karma Suture, which is their take on the Harmonic Percolator. No surprise then that I love this track!
Hummingbird is a choppy, sawtooth style tremolo very similar to the old Vox Repeat Percussion. This is a 50's Brownface style tremolo. Both have extra features. Hummingbird = Spaceman 3 Night Wire = Buddy Holly

It's like a drug :)
Word brother. Just bought the Palisades.. ;)
Quando sei drogato di pedali e di video di ChristianIce e all'improvviso i due mondi collassano in uno solo
Andy is the best dealer on the planet. Always good stuff.
This is one of those demos where I am like... is this the best pedal ever or is Andy just really good?
both? probably both tbh.
Probably awesome pedal, but Andy is just a great musician.
Andy has made me blow so much money on pedals and then when i get them i’m like “damn i suck”. Its the guitarist, he is a beast and the way he plays with no pick even when full strumming, it just sounds good
@@SublimeSynthit’s the musician. Period. No pedal will make you sound like him.
Awesome CCR .perfect tune for that pedal.
CCR should get royalties for this and hummingbird! It's John Fogerty in a box!

I know he has to be impartial, but we all know he only wears that shirt for his favorites. #FOGGYCANYON
This is hilarious
Great demo and great pedal! I've had one for several years and it always finds its way back to my board.

Outboard or built in digital control would be really nice, though, to be able to establish presets, since it can be used in so many ways.
Oooh, I HOID it though the grapevine!!!
That intro gave me a strange, but sweet tingling.
That last fixed filter sound is enough reason alone to buy this pedal
Oh just Andy killing it as usual
One of the coolest pedals that I have ever owned.
chrisdeitzel Can you set it up to play without the notch filter(phaser sound) in the mix as well? I'm trying to decide on a Harmonic Trem to get, and this one seems like it has the best, features for what I want.
Heard it through the grapewine
fabulous trem pedal
OOOHH GIMME SHELTER. ITS JUST A SHOUT AWAY, ITS JUST A SHOUT AWAYYY 3:00
Oh my god I have been waiting for this for so long
Andy playin those sick riffs again
Please do some Crimson and Clover for your next Tremolo demo!
this demo makes me feel like I need to play without a pick way more often

Hospital bills suck. Get well soon, greetings from Belgium!
Much appreciated! ✌️
Perfect choice for an intro
I've watched this clip many times. Such good playing. Such bad news for wallets everywhere...

Jeez that double flick pick at 0:55
That sounds really really good
I wasn't sure I heard a strong phaser effect in the demo. Did I miss something, or is this a softer phase effect, like only one stage?
+TesserId It gives a subtle effect that kinda separates it from most trems. It sounds pretty cool.
Harmonic tremolos create a notch filter, so they sound like 2 stage phasers.
Yup, that would do it. Thanks, much appreciated.
Oh I know this song... I heard it through the LAWSUIT vine! Brave man using a Marvin Gaye song these days. The MG lawyers are suing EVERYONE!
Andys the man.
That's the best PGS background music track.
+wgb01001 haha, i built the fuzz being used on that track!
+weadapt You mean the actual physical box that is played on that track, or just the same circuit? Don't hold back dude, tell me what it is!
+wgb01001 yes, the actual physical box played on that track. it's a modded harmonic percolator with a super low gain silicon in Q1 and a super high gain (and high leakage) germanium in Q2. slightly misbiased, and with silicon diodes instead of germanium.

Very nice
you are on many pro guitar videos and, sir, you are a master guitarist. and with no pick... pete h.
Sounds identical to the wah effect Frank Zappa used on Valerie.
Holy mother of god this is genius!
What are you playing at the 4:22 minute mark?
Basically, Big Wreck's "The Oaf" in pedal form
Diggin that CCR
Sick!!!
This sounds like a pedal similar to what Incubus used on the Halo 2 soundtrack to do their movements.
Sounds like they improved on the Keeley DynaTrem...
From 6:01-6:25 min., it is such a cool/sick riff. Did Andy write that or is it a regular song. Either way, sick riff!
CCR BABY
very nice. hmm.
can it be used as a normal tremolo without filter/phaser?
I just watch yo hear him play
Can this pedal get the cool throw away your television effect by the chili peppers?
srvanddoubletrouble1 for the solo? No, but you can from Keeley’s bubbletron
That “cool” effect is one of the least musical effect ive ever used. Hearing it on that track was mind blowing to me
You’ll want the EQD Spatial Delivery in Sample & Hold mode :)
If you like that effect (sample and hold) check out “ship ahoy” by Frank Zappa
What is the song at 2:46?
War, children, it's just a shot away
It's just a shot away
Can someone compare it to the Hummingbird V4?
Hummingbird is a choppy, sawtooth style tremolo very similar to the old Vox Repeat Percussion. This is a 50's Brownface style tremolo. Both have extra features. Hummingbird = Spaceman 3 Night Wire = Buddy Holly
sounds like a univibe to me
When is the “Lebron James Bails” pedal coming out?
Get over it. Akron is no place to live your life.*
*Says me, after four+ tortured years in Stow....
I love EQD and their brilliant new designs but I hate how you cant get a sound without the wah effect
3:00 sounds like Fleetwood Mac....
It's Gimme Shelter
goddamn
Good demos, although the scripted dialogue can get a little stale after awhile. Great trem pedal though!👍🏻
