Perk about being based in the magnificent Loire Valley? All the day trips I am going to be able to take with a few Euros thanks to the French train system.
In the end, we all win: I am not selfish and share what I see with my online friends (you!) :-)
On a glorious Sunday - Mother's Day - I headed to lovely Amboise, once a royal city, and got treated to beautiful weather, glorious vistas, history, and of course, some food and wine!

Amboise has always been one of my favorite spots in the Touraine region. Love the history there, especially with the home of Leonardo da Vinci and the museum with his inventions.
