Sheffield Doc/Fest 2011: Nick Broomfield Masterclass

Nick Broomfield has long been counted amongst the most important people working in documentary. He currently employs 'Direct Cinema' as his shooting style, which uses non-actors to play themselves and helps capture the truth of his film's subject matter. Along with Michael Moore, Nick has been counted amongst the Les Nouvelles Egotistes
-- a body of filmmakers whose documentaries feature themselves. For his lasting and substantial contribution to the documentary form, Doc/Fest is proud to honour Nick with its highest accolade -- the Sheffield Inspiration Award. In this masterclass, Broomfield will be discussing the structure and execution of his famously investigative approach.
