In varie situazioni soprattutto con poca luce secondo me la pasta colore è migliore su quello rispetto all'ultra.
The new x200 sensor is better in HDR, video , shutter lag, and handling noise. Its not always better but the fact vivo and sony took a smaller sensor and got it this close shows the tech is good. And a good compromise for most users. Tbh a photographer using the telephoto lens is where you'll get your wow shots (people, objects, pets, buildings, etc) . No one really uses 23 mm lens in real cameras. Unless your into landscapes or real estate photos
How do you find that HDR is better? It's true that x100 Ultra makes more contrasty photos, but the shadows are still there and can be lifted up in post, or you can lower contrast slider in first place (which I do). The noise handling is actually worse (x100 Ultra can go much higher with ISO and still give cleaner results), it's only the post-processing blur which also kills the details, what's even worse is that x200 Pro adds more oversharpening to it.
@@picco2833 you can adjust the sharpening to your liking before shooting. And HDR is represented live on the view finder more properly and has better processing of it (not always though) but I do find so in video it's more consistent. The big takeaway is 23mm lens isn't really a good focal length for anything serious. And even a 2x crop isn't ideal as it's digital zoom (regardless if you have the megapixels since the sensors are small regardless). The telephoto is far superior for 99% of shots that matter and the 1x sensor is good enough for everyday photos
@@UpgradeLemonade it's not only about sharpening. x200 Pro just does more processing. It's also evident on tele, where it adds artificial details even when "AI enhancment" is disabled. In regard of HDR I agree that it's much better on x200 Pro in viewfinder, but on actual shot they are on the same level (slight contrast/exposure adjustments).
@picco2833 ya fair. In the end the the x200 pro is meant to replace the x100 pro (which it does in several ways) it's not supposed to be fully better than the x100 ultra that's an unfair expectation. But the x200 pro is really well rounded
Vivo x100Ultra has a bigger sensor and therefore a shallower DoF. The bush in first example was clearly closer than the center building (where focus was). On the second example the building's wall was oriented diagonally, and so the edgde was again further away from the focus point. In the first night photo the edge was roughly on the same depth as center so there was no blur difference. In the second night photo the focus was probably on the right bush, and the bench was still little blurred ("natura bokeh") on x100 Ultra. x200 Pro just messed in this photo with it's overprocessing so everything is blurred. Similar case with the frame from video, where analyzed the details. You would need to find a scene with one plane, perpendicular to the shooting direction to evaluate the "sharpness"
Thank for sharing this information mate, you know your thing no doubt, I actually never considered the dof when I was making the video never had thought even. Also you were right about another thing, in one of my other videos where I talked about the unfair HDR between the lenses. I tried the HDR again with all lenses but with the same distance. Larger sensor has shallower depth of field which might explain why the edge and corners of x100 ultra are not as sharp simply because those areas are out of focus. This is common when comparing full size sensor dslrs with crop sensors dslrs. Perhaps try to do manual focus test again but this time change the focusing point to the corner.
@VerumTech I said physical sensor size was the same as Vivo 200 and iPhone 16 Pro Max have. Huawei was ahead of competition with camera tech even 5, 6 years ago. Yes now processing it better, Chipsets are more capable to run imaging processing layers.

And yes to an normal user or just take a photo and share it to social media there is not much of a difference but when you watch the photos on a bigger screen or if you are into photography then the 1 inch matters. It all depends on who and the use for what. Let's hope Google & I were right with the math this time⭐
@@VerumTech it's actually 40% smaller, you need to compare sensor's surface area not the diagonal. And I actually think the difference is substantial, especially of you care about natural details.
