- Today I'm finally taking a look at a show I, as well as a lot of you, have wanted me to cover for a long time now, Manswers. And it is worse than I remember... yeah yeah I say that all the time whatever its the truth. I feel very lucky to have not been damaged in many ways by watching this show as a kid. But at least I can make money off it now haha. Anyways enjoy!

Hands down my favorite show. Maybe all time. I’d sit down today and watch the whole series. But super excited to see it broken down.
I know a few stories (at least) are told incorrectly.
If you do decide to do 1000 ways to die, can you please do the Chainus (Anus chain) death? I saw that episode once and it was so over the top.

I did not fit the target demographic of Spike TV at all; I was a preteen black girl who was just fascinated by the things they chose to talk about. Going from Disney Channel to this was a wild time for me and I'm amazed I didn't turn out worse.

I don't even know where that came from though. Alcohol itself is a muscle relaxant and absinthe was banned because something about it maybe being phychoactive. It's no longer banned and doesn't contain anything phychoactive

Supposedly some European absinthe is made with some mushrooms so that’s why it was banned
The only two Manswers questions I remember from the episodes I watched were
- How many non-alcoholic beers would you need to drink to get drunk
and
- How fat would you have to be to become bullet proof.
Well, how fat DO you have to be to become bulletproof?

There was an episode of this that tried to answer if a guy could fart enough in a room to kill themselves. I happened to see it as I was flipping through the channels, and it takes up more space in my head than I'm willing to admit

I used to watch this as a kid, I remember an episode covered what to do if you get hit by a car head first. (Jump and aim for the windshield) Later on in my early 20s while riding my longboard I was struck by a driver who wasn’t paying attention to the stop signs on the road and successfully applied it. While I might of done this by instinct anyways I can’t help but feel slightly indebted to this silly/toxic show. 😅
Honestly great advice though. I watched my friend get hit by a car before a gig. He jumped, rolled over the hood, off of the side of the car, and ended up being totally fine and doing the gig after.

I remember this show as a kid this show was an absolute banger some of the most ridiculous things you could ever see was on that show I still remember the episode where they had about if fake boobs can float or if it's only real ones.

Just to be clear, Spike was my favorite channel as a kid. Not for ball exploding farts on Manswers but because Star Trek: The Next Generation would have daily marathons. That channel got me hooked on Star Trek. A love that continues to this day.
Their horror movie marathons during October were also pretty great. I think they'd have one day during the month of October where they would play pretty much every Stephen King movie they could.
They played Star Wars a lot, too. That was pretty rad of them.
I was obsessed with their CSI marathons.
I have been waiting for this video. I remember this one and "Deadliest Warrior". Have you considered doing "1,000 Ways to Die"? I feel these three shows were the pinnacle of Spike TV back in the day.

I remember that one. The most absurd I can recall was the 40 little people vs an elephant in a race to pull a plane across a certain distance. Some of the footage is just bonkers.

I just found your channel and I've been binging your content, but I'm sorry to say I couldn't finish this one. Not bc of the obvious sexism and borderline predator like questions.... but because the narrator for that show , coupled with THE SOUND EFFECTS (like I'm pretty sure they used all of them...at once) was sensory overload in the quickest way possible. God bless you for not only watching it, but editing it and having to hear it over and over. 🤘
There was a show on G4, which was spike before it was spike, called braniac and it was also like myth busters with boobs but also British and I remember it actually being good. I think they had a dude walk on custard, but all the assistants were busty babes

There is a hilarious movie from the 70's about a scientist that creates a machine to harness the power of sex. It's set during an energy crisis. I remember it from when I was a kid. The best scene is where a kid is trying to watch tv and the parents are getting tired from doing it so much that they can't keep the tv going, the kid gets mad and I just laughed my ass off.

I used to watch this show all the damn time and one segment that sticks with me is asking if you can kick a dude so hard he shits himself.
Anyways since you're doing the best of spike tv you should look up a show they did called surviving disaster. It was only one season but it was pretty nuts considering it did dramatized plane jackings, nuclear attacks, pandemics and home invasions.
The only true redeeming thing about this show is the fact that the title is a pun. Someone at Spike should manswer for this shows existence.
