Great update! I am finding that the further I get into homeschooling, the more relaxed I am becoming. Not necessarily in the day to day execution, but in the overall sense of how much my kids need to “do”!😊

We took the last week of September off and drove to Kentucky to see the Ark Encounter. We loved it.!

Hearing your thought about history curriculum I immediately thought about Biblioplan. I don’t personally use it but am looking into it for next year and it seems like it could be a good fit for what you’re looking for.

Thanks so much!! I'll add it to my list to look into!

Very well said. I feel like my family is very similar to yours in our homeschool journey. I’m having the same issues with MFW CTG this year, but we added in Story of the World volume 1 and it seems a little more cohesive with that added in. I already bought MFW Rome to Reformation for next year, but I’m looking forward to seeing what you decide for your kiddos next year. On a side note, we just went to the Ark Encounter and had a great time 😊 Thanks for the update!

Oohh interesting! I’m not familiar with Story of the World, but I’ll look into it!
I’m debating purchasing Rome to Reformation as well while it’s on sale this month 🤦‍♀️. I’ve been using MFW for so long and I know it “works”, I can’t decide if I’m just being too picky right now.

I relate to this so much. When I found Jesus my eyes were opened to all these lies I believed. Dinosaurs were that thing that like you said I never really thought about until He showed me the truth. Incredible! I still remember when in elementary school the teacher pulled down the poster of apes evolving into man and even without faith then I knew it was a lie. The world is deceiving...it's amazing to see! ❤ The Ark is a favorite of ours, we try to go once a year. The kids always enjoy it.

Yes!! It is amazing to see, isn’t it? I’m so thankful for Jesus, and how He has opened my eyes.
After visiting the Ark, we might have to make it a more frequent visit as well. I think the kids would learn something new each time they visit (me as well!). And we haven’t visited the Creation Museum yet, I know it’s close and it looks great as well.

@@blessedhomeschool Yes, the Creation Museum is fun as well. I definitely recommend the combo pass to go to both. That's generally what we do. There is always something new to take
      away from it. 💕

I am considering Science in the Atomic Age next year for my 7th and 8th graders as well as Science in the Beginning for my 2nd and 4th graders. I just am not sure yet. I look forward to your updates!

Have you looked into Simply Charlotte Mason for their family studies? If I were to switch to a family style curriculum SCM is top of my list ✨

I have not, but I’ll take a look! I definitely lean a bit more “traditional” but I do like to do history together. Thank you for the suggestion!!
