In a patriarchal world, most people want reunions of a director and a male actor combo and rarely dream of a reunion of a director with a female actor. But... I honestly want a reunion of Gautham and Jyotika together again. Honestly Jo has been doing some underwhelming/mediocre films for the most part in her comeback. A film with Gautham would be a perfect antidote to that! This interview clearly shows how she was instrumental in Kaakha Kaakha even happening. And her best films came with Gautham (Kaakha Kaakha, Vettaiyaadu Vilayadu). Hoping Gautham can do a stylish crime thriller with Jyotika as the lead protagonist where its not really a woman centric film, but a film where a woman plays the lead character. 2D can easily produce it. If no theatre, release it for OTT on Netflix or Prime.

That's a great idea. I agree, Jyothika's best performances were from Gautham. He brought out the strong, subtle performer in her. She is mature, strong, and beautiful. Gautham can tap into that aspect beautifully fir a new film.

A huge thanks to everyone who made this movie possible. Everyone truly shined on their own. Usually we talk about the hero heroine and songs alone in most movies. This is a team where I absolutely admire the director, actors, actress, cinematographer, editor, lyricist, music director, choreographer and every technician who worked behind the camera. They all outdid themselves at that point. Memories keep coming about how much I was impressed when I saw the movie on Aug 2 ,2003. It left me in a daze for months. Such fine cinema. Thank you Gautham. Love you.

Great interview! I never felt bored while watching the whole video. I even ended up watching the movie after this interview. The movie still feels fresh, including the dialogues, songs, and background score. Thanks to GVM for giving us a movie like Kaakha Kaakha.
