This was always my personal favorite although the skacid version is a close second; I played that one to get people's attention but at The Octogon this was the one that got the dancers going!! Still love it in 2022!!
I've loved the acid mix forever but I've never heard this version, I like it. Would have thought Tony Humphries was the most random DJ to pick to remix this tune nor would I have ever guessed from listening to it that it was him. Goes to show how many misconceptions I had of him. Thanks for uploading
@@deluxedjsireland224 Yeah people, especially outside a given scene, get only a snapshot of scene, they then think they understand the whole scene and make reductionist statements like Tony only plays gospel house. The scene in the NYC area was about diverse dance music, the only important thing was to kill the dancers... especially in that era, you'd hear soulful house, acid, detroit techno, some hip hop (rob base it takes two was a banger) and even at some gigs dance hall (looking at you bobby konders)...
LITTLE KNOWN FACT: SKA ORIGINATED IN JAMAICA. THE DANCE AND ALSO THE MUSICAL TEMPO....BY THE SAME NAME...ITS THE INSTRUMENTAL BED FOR MOST HOUSE MUSIC SONGS...
They used to rock this at the Redzone in hellskitchen. If you were a nyc clubhead in the early 90s than you know what im talking about.!
I remember. Was it DJ David Morales or Victor Calderon's club. Pretty sure it was David.🎉🎉🎉🎉
I LOVED THE REDZONE..
I was just remembered walking into Tunnel one night and they had a special live performance. Ah memories!

But Tony Humphries played the acid version TO DEATH on 98.7 Kiss-FM back in the days! Peace.
@@MuzikJunky I would have never guessed he'd play anything like the Acid mix, so thanks for enlightening me.

Tony Humphries was that guy that played and remixed all kinds of records.
@@BTman58 All I ever associated with him was that New Jersey soulful house music. Turns out I'm wrong.
