Based on a book called Memoirs of a Haunted Girl, I have not read the book, but based on the song and my observation, the song tells about how their love is separated and that the girl will think of her love when it rains. It's likely he has passed before her, hence she is haunted by their love for one another, so she writes him letters when she thinks about him and when it rains memories haunt her about promises and the fact fate never let them be together. The guys part of the song is him telling her to be strong, although they are worlds apart he will patiently wait for her, he wants her to keep living and think of their love when it rains, he opens the door to heaven where he waits. The tragedy is she only meets him in her dreams now, but next time she promises him she wants to be with him, but as a tragedy will have it, the only way to be together is if she dies too. The girl in the dress that turns red is kind of like an angel who portrays the separation of world and dream, she is the medium that defines the fate and reality. Their love can only be described as a story written by her tragedy, hence the book. Now I want to read it!

Dragons come to you in dreams most of the time and they will court you until they are can take you away. In the book, she met him when she was a kid. They both grew up together and fell in love. I think something happened and her parents got a shaman to hide her spirit and replace her with a doll. Years later, he finally found her and took her spirit away. He created a place/world just for her. The red strings represents his red hair, and using his powers, he created a strong barrier to hide her. That way the shaman and his guides cannot find her. It is always raining when he's with her. So when it rains, it means he's with her. Towards the end, she agreed to marry her but that means she will die in the real world. He married her but at the last second, he didn't plan to complete it, as he wanted her to live on. And also a love between a shaman and dragon is forbidden by God. Yes, she finds out she is meant to become a shaman. In the next life time, they can be together though. Anyways, a little bit about the book. It is a good book. You should read it.
