Year old rod got fully tested to it's limits on a recent trip to Etang Negreloube in France!
Also featuring a great chat with Tim Rushmere from Eleos Partnership about mental health and how we can look after it.
The main Carp Angle show is now on it's own website www.carpangle.tv/ is now live, the launch issue is free to watch so head over there now to see the full trip to Etang Negreloube along with Part 2 of the hilarious Zenon Boyko interview and a couple of other great stories from Mike Willmott and John Bird.

Sad to see you go man the best carp show on UA-cam for sure proper carp fishing but you deserve to make a good living and I don’t blame you one bit! Best of luck to you sir!
I appreciate that Eddie, the subscription is only £3.99 a month so if you enjoy the show then I hope it’s worth that to you 🙏
The best thing about a split cane rod was it learnt you how to properly play a fish because you know just like everyone else out there just a tiny bit of to much pressure & you could no longer be holding a rod it could be a handle of splinters i love a split kane rod myself thats where i learnt all the basic does & dont's of fishing & learning how to play a fish properly must say great episode as always fella if this happends to be the last then so be it i wanna wish you all the luck in the world on any future endeavours sometimes carp fishing cant pay the bills but all the best fella for future plans no matter what they are 🎉❤
Couldn’t agree more! Thanks mate 🙏
Fantastic Joe 👏
Many thanks!
Thank you for talking about the mental health benefits of fishing and just being outside with nature
My dad died from cancer a few years ago and it affected me and my health drastically to the point I had to checked out for bowel cancer I didn't have cancer but got diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis brought on by not being able to deal with losing my dad after 4 years of various different drugs I'm at a point of my disease is under control I stopped drinking two years ago and now eat healthier
But the thing that's really helped get my mental health and physical health better is fishing
Sorry to hear that Barry, really glad to hear that fishing has helped you so much 🙏

Thank you Russell 🙏🙏
Caught off the top on dozens of different French lakes including quiet bays off huge etangs. My PB French grassie, a lake record at the time, was caught off the top. I would swear that fish had never seen a floating boat before but they eat all sorts off the surface, seed pods, that kind of thing.
On some lakes I fed big sacks of mixers all week until curiosity got the better of them, they realised it was food, then started to take them. Hard to get them going but the big advantage once you do is they aren’t line shy at all. Eventually you can pick and choose the ones you want by the mouth size and scale patterns. But you need huge patience, unless it’s a lake on a park where they are used to eating bread fed to bird life.😊
Skills! 💪
Thanks
Thank you Simon 🙏🙏🙏
Can you link to the rod your using buddy. Think there is a few on eBay, so one of those will do if you can. Thanks Joe.

Thanks Jamie, let’s hope so mate 🙏
see you on the site joe👌
Cheers bro 🙏
Have you seen how beautifully this rod bends? Great parabolic action. Unfortunately, they no longer produce such rods. Just stiff broomsticks from 2.75lb and up. Greetings to carp anglers from the UK
Century mk1 armalite in 2.5lb test here... much nicer action than an old piece of cane and much much lighter too...
Harrison Acurix - modern rod, old school action.
