    Really enjoyed all three, from fantastic recycling (wouldn't be great if all the monarchs wore a bit of loo roll 😉) to amazing long and short and turkey rug results and just tons of inventiveness - just wow.

    Great job ladies on those crowns! Really appreciate you sharing how you did this Sarah, starting with your sketchbook through to completion. Kudos to Jonathan for digging out the silver beads too! You both probably had all your fingertips bandaged by the end of it. Exquisite workmanship! Sharpies-love ‘em, use em! Lol

    Thank you Sarah, what a lovely thing to see your video pop up as I am winding down work for the weekend. The crown is amazing and thank you for sharing the process from inception to production. It must be so nice to do something for yourself for a change and so rewarding. It needs to sit beside your princess and the pea. Well done to the makers of the other crowns, stitchers never cease to amaze me with their inventiveness, marzipan wrapper, who would have thunk it😂😂

    Sarah, your crown is fantastic! It was so interesting to see your sketches (which are lovely, by the way) and how you went from them to the final product. It's so beautiful, and so much intricate detail and planning. Can't understand how you had no spare diamonds lying around the house to use lol. The glass jar to display it is just perfect. Thank you for another wonderful video. Take care, and happy stitching.

    That crown is an awe-inspiring Wow! Sarah. It's been so worthwhile watching the designing, 'roughing out', stitching, embellishing and then the construction. You certainly haven't lost any of the skills acquired at the RSN and I love that you wanted to do this to stretch yourself. Thank you s-o-o-o much for sharing this whole process, and how great to have seen and enjoyed the other two crowns. Hooray to you all👑👑👑🥳👏👏

    Thank you Sarah that was really amazing, and I think your crown is absolutely exquisite!, it's so like the real thing it's incredible, you've no need to worry at all you've still got it and then some!!!!. I was absolutely fascinated as well to see all the working processes behind it, as at first glance you think how on earth would I even begin to tackle something like that. But to be honest, even that doesn't do justice to your great talent and skill, just wonderful!

    For some reason I always thought of this sort of thing as some completely complicated thing I'd never be able to learn how to do. Seeing that you can just ... look around and see what you have and put things together (like loo roll!) is really inspiring.
    Also, I would submit that it's *more* appropriate for it to have loo roll in it as a representation of England due to the Blue Peter influence. :D

    • @SarahHomfrayEmbroidery

      It's not hand made if it doesn't have a loo roll in it!! Didn't they make a whole Tracy Island out of loo rolls once?!

    Adore your stump work crown, Sarah! What did you think of the dimensional headpieces worn by the Princess of Wales, Princess Charlotte and the Duchess of Edinburgh? I thought they were beautiful and unusual. Have you ever built something similar? Thank you for another delightful video! I had to rise at 2:00 AM on the west coast of the US to watch the coronation live, but it was worth it.

    Do you know if they used prick and pounce on the Bayeux Tapestry? I’ve wondered how they got the pattern on the linen.

    • @SarahHomfrayEmbroidery
      @SarahHomfrayEmbroidery  Рік тому

      There are apparently no signs of design transfer anywhere on the Bayeux Tapestry but it's quite likely they used this method!
