Dear Hollywood: This is how you make your audience excited to watch something. You don't need to spend millions of dollars cutting a trailer that's full of explosions and spoils all the best parts of the movie or the next episode. You can make something infinitely more exciting and involving and personal with a fraction of the money by just trusting your actors. God, I wish every trailer was like this.
TheKiss I agree with your comment. Sadly, on occasions the BBC forgets this & still after all this time, puts the name of the Alien Menace in the name of the episode. Why were we not surprised when they appeared, I wonder ? They appear at crossed-purposes, the writer tries to make it suspenseful, but, that is diluted by the title. Much better to hint in the title, including occasional red herrings, would be much more enjoyable, IMO. :)

I agree and plus it would make more sense to have him for one more season because of Jenna's character. She was just add and then Matt just left at the end of the season. If Matt was going to leave then they should had waited to put Jenna into the show when the new doctor came in or Matt, as we agree on, should had stayed for one more season.
A great companionship between the 11th and Clara. Maybe even a small spark of romance between the two. Always attracting to each other, drawn by some force of the universe. Clara, always saving the Doctor and The Doctor finally being able to meet his Impossible Girl
The reality being a "paradox" born within a compassionate, daring moment given only by truest friends, heroes, loved ones, or simply a rare stranger. Clara being all of those - she gave her entire existence in the Doctor's future - in a moment beyond his final days, and therefore saved his entire life. This act is/was/will be the force which drew/draw/draws them always, and frankly, is a love quite different than nearly every, any, people may conceive, and shippers, never.
"Some force of the universe" being Missy. Tho, as far as I liked Eleven/Clara relationship, I think she was a way better pairing with Twelve. Eleven will always be the Dotctor/Amy/Rory (and occasionaly River) team to me.
When 13 tells her he's not her boyfriend, she says she knows and he tells her it wasn't her mistake. He was in love with her, but she wasn't in love with him.
I really enjoyed Clara as a companion. When she first started she was a bit slow, but most companions started that way, she was learning. She was extremely kind and brave from even the beginning. She proved her bravery and trust to the Doctor when she jumped into his time streeam. As the series continued she became used to traveling and wasn't afraid anymore. Instead of panicking, stuttering, and waiting for him she became independent, witty, and courageous. She learned a lot about the Doctor's life just like River and even learned the basics to controlling the Tardis. Unlike some other companions she was able to stand up on her own and become more demanding.

After watching Matt's last episode as the 11th Doctor and seeing and anticipating the return of Doctor Who and Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, I found myself quite sad as soon as Matt walked into the shot in this age old Prequel. And then I smiled because, I realise that it's not over yet, and I'll always have Matt's Doctor in my heart. AND after so long of not actually watching Doctor Who it was so Nice to see the Doctor again and especially Matt Smith's Doctor, cause I love him so much! I think I've rather gone mad.
Ah, Clara. Such an exquisite little phenomenon. After so many years, he finally found someone who could talk faster than him, and even trupms him in terms of computer skills. Which is very, very interesting when you're used to being the smartest person in the room. It's just very true to the essence of the character - if there's something that kept him going, it's his curiosity for things he doesn't know yet. There's a reason he picked his scientific degree as pseudonym.
This is probably my favorite romance of Doctor Who's revival. It's a lot more subtle than the likes of the 10th and Rose/Martha's one-sided love for the 10th and that's awesome - rather than making it obvious from the get-go, they're building layers and layers of subtext and developing it nice and slowly. Heck, I doubt it'll be fully resolved by the time Matt bows out and the 12th comes in. The fact that these two are just fantastic actors helps too. The chemistry between them is phenomenal.
I get the feeling they want us to view the Doctor more as this older wiser gentleman rather than someone every companion could be shipped with, and that makes sense because it does get old, but stuff like this makes it really hard not to love whouffle.
There's more than one kind of love. I personally see the Doctor/River and Doctor/Rose as romantic love, Doctor/Clara and Doctor/Donna as platonic best-friends-forever love, and Doctor/Ponds as familial love.
Curt Clark Moffat cleared it up that The Doctor does fancy Clara and Jenna Coleman just confirmed there is sexual tension between the two. In the case of Clara and The Doctor its very subtle and not in your face kinda thing one reason why people think its platonic.
Part of me doesn't mind this. The other part can't help but remember that the Classic Doctors were all but aromantic with their companions (with the notable exception of Romana, but she's a Time Lady, so...) Did the Time War really change him *that* much?

She fell in love with the 11th Doctor. Eh we can argue she didn't fall in love by saying she just fancied him (Like Martha). Falling in love is too much of a way to put it.
What makes their kind of secret love story even sadder is that he obviously stilled loved her even after regenerating into 12. And because she's human her feelings changed because he looked older. They still have an underlining love for eachother, more the doctor to Clara when he regenerated, but it makes him forgetting almost good for him, as he was probably heartbroken, so him remembering again was bitter-sweet
I spent so long looking for this. I was only little when Clara was introduced. Matt Smith was the first doctor I saw from regeneration to next; he's my favourite. I remembered this advert so clearly in my head but I was young when I saw it i thought I had dreamt it
"I don't think we've quite seen the Doctor just straightforwardly fancy someone. And he thinks he shouldn't, he thinks he really shouldn't fancy Clara, but he REALLY does." -Steven Moffat, from the clip 'Creating Clara' from the Series 7 Box set. What more evidence do you guys need?
i disagree with it entirely tho. i don't support the idea of the doctor having certain feelings for a young human girl. moffat can if he wants, so can anyone else. but personally it's not for me.
11 should have had one more year with Clara as they loved each other romantically in canon and even a blind person could see that. While I wanted that as did Matt himself in hindsight, I remember my dear Doctor’s words: “we all change, when you think about it. We’re all different people all through our lives, and that's ok, that's good, you gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be” and remember that at the time, Matt knew that 11’s hour was over.
I think the top answer here sums it up well: www.reddit.com/r/gallifrey/comments/3vso2z/spoilers_what_did_clara_say_to_the_doctor_in_the/ Plus, the Doctor and Clara having deep feelings for each other was more or less laid out on a couple of occasions; Time of the Doctor- The truth field made Clara start saying, before abruptly finishing "I'm an English teacher from the planet Earth and I've run off with a man from space because I really fancy-". Given the context, I doubt she was going to finish with something like "-going to Mars" :P Deep Breath- the Doctor declared that he wasn't Clara's boyfriend, not that it was her mistake. The Doctor's feelings were there, but he was trying to hide them, most likely as he felt that they weren't appropriate. Hell Bent- At the end of the universe, the Doctor tried to stress to Ashildr/Me that Clara was JUST his friend. She didn't buy it. Her "you're willing to risk all of time and space because you miss her" was pretty sarcastic.
I've always loved this prequel, I remember the BBC running it constantly on the "red button" in the week before Name of the Doctor aired. The Smith era was very good for minisodes and prequels, whether broadcast or as dvd extras. A shame that the Capaldi era had hardly any.
And she will, after some false starts, be that way with the next Doctor, who loves her just as much and will go to the end of time and the end of space, and go mad in the process of trying to save her. She is our Impossible Girl, and we love her for it.
It's interesting the way the Doctor and Clara interact with each other, he fancy her,I already understood it the first time I saw them together on screen, but it was also confirmed by Moffat,in the special of the DVD box set of the season seven, called creating clara, there's a section on it, called courting clara, where Moffat clearly says the Doctor fancy Clara, even though hr shouldn't he really does and straightforwardly, so to everyone that said father/daughter relationship,I told you so
This is why the Doctor is so good, especially I feel 10 and 11 - sod the new stuff. He's fantastic, he's funny, he's extraordinary, he shows you the wonders of the universe, the mysteries. But really, you're travelling with a mystery, a huge mystery, a mystery with a dark centre, a man with no name, a man with secrets, a man who commited genocide... A stranger.
Matt and Jenna were my favorite duo. I wish they did more together! I find myself watching “the bells of St. John” over and over . Oh and how am I just now seeing this video I never knew existed
I wish they held off a little on explaining how clara was the impossible girl, (of course in this wish I would've liked smith to be around another season or 2, it felt like he left too soon after amy and rory; yes I know he had river and such, but it would've been nice to see something more develop between 11 and clara.) not saying I dont like Capaldi
Well I mean like it in the most vague sense possible. Obviously the relationship dynamics were much different. Ten seemed more protective of Rose, which eleven made Clara more of an equal. Plus eleven openly cared a lot more. I mean looking at this scene and others eleven was being quite obvious, even if he would never admit it.
@D0CT0RGaGa John Hurt is NOT the 9th Doctor. He IS the 9th incarnation of [insert The Doctor's real name here]. He didn't choose to go by The Doctor and is therefore not a Doctor, but he is the same man. Which makes Chris Eccleston the 9th Doctor but the 10th incarnation of the character.
Adam Strong he lies. we can never know the doctor's name because then it stops being Doctor Who. revealing the name of the doctor would be like changing the TARDIS into a normal space ship instead of the iconic Blue box, it would be the death of the entire series.
which also means Peter Capaldi will be the 13th incarnation of the man. an according to Time Lord lore, a Time Lord can only regenerate 12 times, and have only 13 incarnations. meaning as we reach the end of Peter Capaldi's term they have to start introducing what ever means by which the doctor will live past 13 lives... wether that be the remaining regenerations River gave him, or the fact that the regeneration limit was set by the Time Lord High Counsel which no longer exsists... OR (the slightly more exciting) The Valeyard goes back in time and persecutes the 6th Doctor in attempt to gain his remaining regenerations... I can't wait to see how it plays out!
Doctor: I met her in the Dalek asylum. Never saw her face and she died. Met her again in Victorian London and she DIED. but now she's back and we're running together an she's perfect in every way for me. EXCEPT she can't remember we ever met...
"One day you meet the Doctor, and it's the best day of your life". 1st time, she was a Dalek. 2nd time, she died. 3rd time, she got sucked into the Internet. Not sure which day Clara is referring to...
I love Jenna !! She inspired me to start acting and I've been told I'm good but I don't think I'm good enough !! I'd love to be in a tv show !! But I'm only 11 !! I auditioned for a few roles but I never believed in myself so I wasn't my full potential !! I love acting , it's so much fun and my theatre group say ' whenever we film scenes to show as a trailor Abbie is ALLWAYS really into it and seems more confident then she is on a stage ' don't get me wrong I love stage acting but I ALLWAYS feel at home when camera is involved and I turn into a totally different person !!
How's it going? I feel the exact say way as you do, or at least as you did 4 years ago XD I'm 18 though, and I wish that I knew how to get into acting.
There have been times in the show when someone has said,"It's the Doctor.'',and someone says,"Who?" and someone else in another scene answers,"Yes." (From The Five Doctors).
Someone sould make a video of all the times the Doctor goes all "Clara, Clara, Clara..." Her name must be only shortly behind "OF Course!" and "Run!" on his list of favorite words.
Clara is quite different. Her romance with the Docotor subtle and being slowly developed. And she's seen the Doctor's whole life now, unlike any other companion he's ever had. I'm positive something will happen between these two, something romantic. When did Moffat indicate his thoughts on Rose?
This is so interesting. Seeing The Doctor's point of veiw. Learning how he always says "humans are so stupid" or "im not human" yet, when we see him, he is human in every way exept for his physiology. He just needs to see that.
This is why I love Clara as a company for the Doctor. She don't fall on love with. They aren't normal friends too. I mean usually Doctor was lying his friends, but Clara was the one who can do this and that is why I love her as company.
I love this video there was a lot of prequels to some of the episodes of Doctor Who. I absolutely love when the doctor says my Clara it’s so sweet I watch this video a lot just to hear Matt say my Clara ❤
...It occurs to me, that when you consider that Clara remembers what happened in "Journey to the Center of the TARDIS" now, she probably remembers what the Doctor's name is.
Daniawesome1 Yes. River kept the connection open after the psychic conference was disrupted by The Whispermen. She said that to Clara when The Doctor saw her false gravestone. "I left the line open," so she did hear River.
It took me forever to realize a key to great acting is just ... no ego. At least, not during the job. You have to accept that you'll be doing/saying/behaving ridiculously to achieve greatness. I see this, and it's great, but then I think about how absolutely awkward it must be to pretend to be a statue? mannequin? That's being talked about directly to your face. I wonder if they ever fell into a fit of giggles trying to do this. I just love the art of acting/actors. 😭😍
My heart just broke when Doctor said: "She's perfect for me.., but she doesn't remember our time together." I was crying! :*( but it was soooo sweet! :*)
It sucks that I'm only finding these trailers now, when I've caught up with all of the Modern DW and is currently waiting for the new season. If I found this before Day of the Doctor I would've freaked out even more for it.
Oh lets just enjoy it. Besides Moffat already confirmed it for a second time The Doctor fancies Clara in a special clip called Courting Clara in the Series 7 Box set. I saw the clip and its an affirmative enough at least for me. "He shouldn't fancy this girl but he really does," Nuff said. :)

-Steven Moffat, from the clip 'Creating Clara' from the Series 7 Box set.
What more evidence do you guys need?
(Rose Tyler left the chat room
i disagree with it entirely tho. i don't support the idea of the doctor having certain feelings for a young human girl. moffat can if he wants, so can anyone else. but personally it's not for me.
@@puppycatsbee agreed
@@puppycatsbee literally why? He’s not a sexless being, it’s time to grow up
Doctor: Trenzalor
Me: *chills*
11 should have had one more year with Clara as they loved each other romantically in canon and even a blind person could see that. While I wanted that as did Matt himself in hindsight, I remember my dear Doctor’s words: “we all change, when you think about it. We’re all different people all through our lives, and that's ok, that's good, you gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be” and remember that at the time, Matt knew that 11’s hour was over.
Did anyone else think that Clara and the Doctor were slowly falling for each other
I think so as well, yeah.
thats what I get from it, and as a result series 7 part 2 is my personal favourite
I think the top answer here sums it up well:
www.reddit.com/r/gallifrey/comments/3vso2z/spoilers_what_did_clara_say_to_the_doctor_in_the/
Plus, the Doctor and Clara having deep feelings for each other was more or less laid out on a couple of occasions;
Time of the Doctor- The truth field made Clara start saying, before abruptly finishing "I'm an English teacher from the planet Earth and I've run off with a man from space because I really fancy-". Given the context, I doubt she was going to finish with something like "-going to Mars" :P
Deep Breath- the Doctor declared that he wasn't Clara's boyfriend, not that it was her mistake.
WarriorsDWMarvel ZombieTMNT Slowly? No... it was pretty much instant. All three times, in fact.
Ummmmmmm . . . . . yeah! It's called Whoffle and they are my OTP
It's interesting the way the Doctor and Clara interact with each other, he fancy her,I already understood it the first time I saw them together on screen, but it was also confirmed by Moffat,in the special of the DVD box set of the season seven, called creating clara, there's a section on it, called courting clara, where Moffat clearly says the Doctor fancy Clara, even though hr shouldn't he really does and straightforwardly, so to everyone that said father/daughter relationship,I told you so
"the trick is, don't fall in love. i did that trick quite a lot, sometimes twice a day" 😭😭😭😭💖
This is why the Doctor is so good, especially I feel 10 and 11 - sod the new stuff. He's fantastic, he's funny, he's extraordinary, he shows you the wonders of the universe, the mysteries. But really, you're travelling with a mystery, a huge mystery, a mystery with a dark centre, a man with no name, a man with secrets, a man who commited genocide... A stranger.
I love discovering new content when I think I have watched everything
Omg she said... The trick is... Dont fall in love, I did that trick quite a lot. Sometimes twice a day. FANGIRLS WHOUFFLE FOREVA BABY
When I saw the title, Ahh but it's so easy to- "That's what she said"
6 and a half years later and NOW I find this video?? Come on UA-cam up your game!
Matt and Jenna were my favorite duo. I wish they did more together! I find myself watching “the bells of St. John” over and over . Oh and how am I just now seeing this video I never knew existed
I shipped them so much 😭😭
"He never said that about any companion, not even River."
"Goodbye...my Sarah Jane."
-The Doctor; School Reunion
That was absolutely perfect in every way
I wish they held off a little on explaining how clara was the impossible girl, (of course in this wish I would've liked smith to be around another season or 2, it felt like he left too soon after amy and rory; yes I know he had river and such, but it would've been nice to see something more develop between 11 and clara.)
not saying I dont like Capaldi
+ct0760 The Doctor has regenerated in front of her..
GivingCri
you dont say..... >_>
ct0760 xP
Very true, the potential was perfect for something like Ten and Rose.
"She's too perfect."
Get it?
I love Clara's monologue in this... :)
I can literally smell the Whouffle.
Liz Bradley except it deflated in the end, just like Clara’s soufflés ☹️
@D0CT0RGaGa John Hurt is NOT the 9th Doctor. He IS the 9th incarnation of [insert The Doctor's real name here]. He didn't choose to go by The Doctor and is therefore not a Doctor, but he is the same man. Which makes Chris Eccleston the 9th Doctor but the 10th incarnation of the character.
His Real name is Chronos named after the God of time from Greek legends
Chuck Norris Why do you know that Chuck?.... Oh god please don't kill me..... It's only a question....
Adam Strong
he lies. we can never know the doctor's name because then it stops being Doctor Who. revealing the name of the doctor would be like changing the TARDIS into a normal space ship instead of the iconic Blue box, it would be the death of the entire series.
which also means Peter Capaldi will be the 13th incarnation of the man. an according to Time Lord lore, a Time Lord can only regenerate 12 times, and have only 13 incarnations. meaning as we reach the end of Peter Capaldi's term they have to start introducing what ever means by which the doctor will live past 13 lives... wether that be the remaining regenerations River gave him, or the fact that the regeneration limit was set by the Time Lord High Counsel which no longer exsists... OR (the slightly more exciting) The Valeyard goes back in time and persecutes the 6th Doctor in attempt to gain his remaining regenerations... I can't wait to see how it plays out!
It's a regeneration, not incarnation. When he regenerates, he is still alive.
ELEVEN & CLARA WERE THE BEST SHIP OF DOCTOR WHO!! I miss them so much 😭
Doctor: I met her in the Dalek asylum. Never saw her face and she died.
Met her again in Victorian London and she DIED.
but now she's back and we're running together an she's perfect in every way for me.
EXCEPT she can't remember we ever met...
0:21 Jenna's giggle is everything
You have no idea
"One day you meet the Doctor, and it's the best day of your life".
1st time, she was a Dalek.
2nd time, she died.
3rd time, she got sucked into the Internet.
Not sure which day Clara is referring to...
😂😂😂
Further proof that The Doctor and Clara love each other like River and Rose before them.
I think Clara knew the better secret!
We're both 11! Heh, best of luck with your acting!
you will be good
The next actors for Doctor Who Ladies and Gentlemen
How's it going? I feel the exact say way as you do, or at least as you did 4 years ago XD
I'm 18 though, and I wish that I knew how to get into acting.
Only coming across this video now. Never knew it existed. I love it.
You keep asking what The Doctor's name is, it's simply just
The Doctor, that's his name.
I thought he said it in the Zygon Invasion/Reversion? I couldn't properly hear it though.
The Doctor is a name he chose from himself. That's not his Birth Name
+Mike White I know. I was just pointing it out.
It's actually
Raxicoricolfallipatorius.
What if the Doctor just forgot his name?
There have been times in the show when someone has said,"It's the Doctor.'',and someone says,"Who?" and someone else in another scene answers,"Yes." (From The Five Doctors).
Linda Smith They have had wonderful fun with that since the very first episode, I always enjoy it !! :)
Clara and the 11th was the best ship
Someone sould make a video of all the times the Doctor goes all "Clara, Clara, Clara..."
Her name must be only shortly behind "OF Course!" and "Run!" on his list of favorite words.
Clara is quite different. Her romance with the Docotor subtle and being slowly developed. And she's seen the Doctor's whole life now, unlike any other companion he's ever had. I'm positive something will happen between these two, something romantic. When did Moffat indicate his thoughts on Rose?
Waiiiit, is this canon? o:
ITS CANON.
WHAT.
OM-
WHAT.
'The trick is, don't fall in love'
MISSION FAILED, WE'LL GET 'EM NEXT TIME
What is that, a storage room in the TARDIS? I wish!
DarkComet360 I like to imagine they just let the props department decorate the set with all their favorite stuff from Season 7.
Oh man, so much awesome stuff here.
Sweetness! MORE PLEASE!! Just want more!! More awesomeness like this!
This is so interesting. Seeing The Doctor's point of veiw. Learning how he always says "humans are so stupid" or "im not human" yet, when we see him, he is human in every way exept for his physiology. He just needs to see that.
I really miss these days and these two so much
Bullshit. We still don't know much about The Doctor. But it's good! I don't want to ever know his real name. That would ruin it.
+Andrew Quta We actually learned his biggest secret (besides his name)
and as the 25th doctor dies, we learn his real name really was John Smith
imagine if the doctor's name is actually "look into my eye"
This is why I ship Whouffle! Whouffle for the win!!!
Oswin!
WHOUFFLE 5EVER
What's whouffle
Whouffle! WHOUFFLE! WHOUFFLE!
It's the ship name for The Doctor and Clara.
Even after seeing that episode, this still gives me chills
7 years ago 😳 woah. I feel old.
So true with the romantic tension. I love these two. :)
This is why I love Clara as a company for the Doctor. She don't fall on love with. They aren't normal friends too. I mean usually Doctor was lying his friends, but Clara was the one who can do this and that is why I love her as company.
So is this like... a confirmation of Whoufflé?
My thirteen-year-old self is jumping for joy. My present self is cringing at him.
I wish Matt Smith was the doctor longer so that the doctor and Clara could fall in love or have a relationship.
Same D';
No, she should've came on earlier. Start of the series.
I love this video there was a lot of prequels to some of the
episodes of Doctor Who. I absolutely love when the doctor
says my Clara it’s so sweet I watch this video a lot just
to hear Matt say my Clara ❤
...It occurs to me, that when you consider that Clara remembers what happened in "Journey to the Center of the TARDIS" now, she probably remembers what the Doctor's name is.
Considering she jumped into his Time Stream in Name of The Doctor she knows everything about him including his name, :)
Einez Crespo Also, Clara was still mentally linked with River when River said his name to open the tomb, so did Clara hear her?
Daniawesome1 well probably but she was pretty busy being killed
This prequel changed my life and my way of thinking my life
Thank you very much
Wow, whouffle is canon?
My heart just broke when Doctor said: "She's perfect for me.., but she doesn't remember our time together." I was crying! :*( but it was soooo sweet! :*)
It sucks that I'm only finding these trailers now, when I've caught up with all of the Modern DW and is currently waiting for the new season. If I found this before Day of the Doctor I would've freaked out even more for it.
It’s been seven years and I still know it by heart lmao obsessed much?
Thanks to quarantine I’m now finding out all the minisodes.
''Perfect for me. Too perfect'' That explains the Hybrid arc.
Whouffle is totally cannon.
Two superb acting talents
Came up on my recommended in Jenna's birthday... Coincidence? 😂
One of my favourite minisodes
The greatest Love Story i've ever seen.
Without actually being a Love Story.
I miss 11 and Clara so much!
Aww, don't you do that grumpy look, 12. Silly old Man, i miss you too.
why have i only just found this
as a theatre kid i love a good monlouge
1:34 His greatest secret? You mean that his name is Basil?
I adore Clara ❤. My favourite companion and Doctor Who Companion. Jenna is so talented, cute, adorable, kind and beautiful. 😘❤😍🌹
Its just me but i always loved the episodes that got clara in them,
They where a good team up,
Even capaldi with her
gonna miss this... Matt and Jenna have great chemistry :)
This actually makes sense now I re-watch this after watching the Christmas episode :)
