This better have the saints row 1 mission where you shoot the carnolos out of a plane with dex driving I raged quite that mission I might try again
That mission is crazy. With all the guys shooting rpgs and you have one as well
@@cohesiveplacebo606 barely beat the game yesterday bruh and that mission and “hail to the chief” were so fkn annoying bro omg
The worst part about what goes up mission is the drive back to the airport (without damaging the car too much) every time you retry .
Corporate Meltdown from the Corporate Warfare DLC for Saints Row 2 was so unnecessarily hard…
@Temp Ton it doesn't matter. I was playing on casual and I still didn't fucking last and by me I mean the fucking truck that gets destroyed in seconds
@Temp Ton perhaps I misunderstood what I meant. I meant escorting the truck while on a chopper.
I know that "What Goes Up" is gonna be top contender for hardest mission, but I'd also like to bring up "Corporate Meltdown" just because the helicopter section was very trial-and-error.
@@DannyBirchTheAnimeLoverGamer Fitting that Corporate Meltdown and What Goes Up both involve Dex, one way or another.
@@mattc2306 yea and since you said that revelations kinda involves dex too or mentions him and even that mission is a pain in the ass especially at the church with the masako team they aren’t even the hardest it’s the attack choppers blowing you up literally in arms reach lol
After watching this, i can come to a conclusions that it is either A) Missile shooting choppers
Or
B) Rpg wielding enemies
That make these mission very terrifying.
Im kinda curious what mission is gonna be difficult in the reboot.
@@bioniclemac300 Afraid of a mad man possibly modding the police Oppressor helicopters having two rocket launcher wielding shooters on either side, and the oppressor for some reason having a rocket launcher too at the same time to have that helicopter shoot three rockets at once
Seeing as in the reboot the strongest gang or group is yet another anti gang organization so probably some next level terminator futuristic shit.
I am most afraid of the reboot having absolutely no challenge lol
Bro, All the kings men easily deserves a mention, it’s in my top 2 for sure
Apparently it exploitable through forgive and forget, I've never done it that way but why wouldn't it work
All The Kings Men is easy. The hardest part is not actually driving to Impressions it's where you have to drive around while Stefan gets interrogated by Ben King and you end being chased by the cops. However you can just go to Forgive and Forget to erase the police notoriety.
I think the reason the Playa “knows” shoe fashion is because while he was chauffeuring Tanya she mentions somethin about some lady wearing last year’s fall collection
Surprised the last mission, "...and A Better Life" didn't make the cut... The amount of rage I had for that final mission and doing a no death run. Pretty much anything with a friggin' Tornado can bite it. Ever since they did that stupid patch to make those attack choppers fire missiles at you constantly really pissed me off. Salting the earth, I just take the Vulture or a tornado if I get lucky with it spawning at the police station and fly to the yacht, waaay easier than taking the jet ski.
ah I remember that mission, it's quite easy except for the dog fight going up the tower
@@aaron75fy Yep, I was quick enough to get the first tornado, but the others are a different story, especially when you're high enough and they are directly under you here you can't hit them, but they can hit you.
@@slaterock4612 after about 10 or so times I had to restart that part I started to use cheats to prevent being turned into bits of metal
@@aaron75fy I don't blame you. I used to have the cheats on years back to get through that part too. Now, I play that mission on casual to lesson the pain and even then I still get the full experience.
You think that's bad try the final mission in red faction guerrilla its absolutely insane
The video is 8 hours away and I already know "what goes up" is probably on the list if not number 1😂
Literally didn't beat the game for years because of that fucking mission. Thank christ for some random dude who pointed out thay the Pimp Cane is a cheat code when applied to explosive barrels
I didn't had that much trouble when playing through most missions of these games, but the final gang missions from the first game, Carnales, Vice kings and specially the Rollerz one were just incredibly hard (I haven't played the SR2 DLCs)
Don’t bother then. You haven’t played “corporate meltdown” which is arguably the most difficult mission in the entire franchise .
The Rollerz mission Escort Service is horrible too and Burying Evidence from the Rollerz sucks too
Seeing these missions makes me hope the Reboot will also have its own entries on the list while also offering a better challenge than SR3 and SR4, tbh.
Especially since SR4 was honestly way too easy it got kinda boring towards the end.
EDIT: Correction at 1:31. Zombie Attack later on also does something similar, but with your Stamina Gauge instead of your health. That mission is _also_ just as much of a PITA because of this.
This will be great, it's been awhile since we have had a top five!
Honestly Reunion Tour for me has never been the hell that people say it is. I think there are much harder missions, and I'm surprised Guardian Angel didn't make it on the list, though being an activity you were still forced to do it.
@@pieprincess5778 sometimes I can get that mission done first try but it can be really unpredictable and frustrating
@@gedztrez8814 it maybe unpredictable but just be a little patient and make your shots count
I raged quit countless times on What Goes Up, I remember when I just about managed to get through the RPG guys but completely missed out on shooting the plane in time (don't know how, but it happened) - whole thing was a nightmare and definitely deserves the top spot on this list
I must've gotten some really lucky RNG on the AI because it only took me 2 attempts.
I know this is a year late, but an honorable mention definitely goes to "Burden of proof." Doing that mission on hardcore is IMPOSSIBLE because of those damn prototype scouts that can destroy the truck in seconds, plus you have a bunch of tornado helicopters after you. Saints row 2 had some hard missions, but that one takes the cake
That was a pretty good selection of difficult levels, but for me, nothing was harder than doing some stupid activities over and over in SR1 to progress the story. Just finished that game yesterday, and it was pretty good, but activity grinding felt like a chore, except for an insurance fraud glitch I did early on.
Somewhat of a more obscure candidate, but the entire reason I dropped SR1 initially was because of the Rollerz mission where you have to defend 3 trucks from being destroyed by the Rollerz. The Rollerz with their SMGs absolutely shred the health of the trucks, so you can't afford to let both cars catch up to the truck. You're basically forced to buy a rocket launcher and bring it with you on the mission so you can instantly wreck the Rollerz's vehicles. What cements it as one of the hardest missions for me was after several attempts at the mission, I finally had one run where I managed to destroy every Rollerz car, but in a cruel twist of fate, my game glitched in a way where the mission wouldn't complete after clearing the last objective. The mission was in limbo, the truck was still there, the Rollerz were gone and never showed up again, but the mission never registered as complete. Needless to say, I had to restart the *entire* mission from the beginning again.
Seriously. Fuck that mission.
this mission is annoying i needed at least 4 attempts. the problem is one truck gets bugged (???) and drives into a house, so rollerz surround it and easily destroy it, you have to reach it fast and make sure they switch their attention to you. bring homies. 3 of them if possible.
Replaying the franchise now and just completed that stupid mission and yes fuck that mission
Level 8 of any activity in Saints Row 1 basically turns the game into Dark Souls GTA
You just never stop dying, and losing your money and ammo, its so unfair, especially Snatch and Escort.
@@arcticwolf8150playing that shit right now, those swat guys keep blowing up the car!!!! 😡
An honorable mention should go to “…and a Better Life”, SR2’s last main mission. Like the previous mission, the second part has helicopters gunning you down. You get a bit more leeway due to getting your own Tornado after the fairly easy car chase at the beginning and the outright pathetically easy gunfight against Vogel at the rooftop office, but even so, two rockets, which are near impossible to avoid mind you, and you’re done. And they respawn while you’re taking out the power stations. AND, if you kill one in the chopper, you’re brought up to max police notoriety. But, like with “Salting the Earth… Again” previously, this too has an unintended easier way: (enter the chopper, then immediately get out and destroy it on foot or hide somewhere it can’t hit you until it goes away, then go back in. You’ll still probably have 3-star notoriety, but that’s child’s play compared to those Demonic Spiders of Tornados.
Another honorable mention:
“Learning Computer” from SR3. This one is only on here due to the very last section, where you have to jack the tank with Pierce; it’s possible to not use the tank at all and just destroy the truck wheels with a much faster car, but the problem is Pierce himself: he’s a total liability this mission. And if you take the tank, he controls the laser cannon while you have to use the tank machine gun to destroy the wheels on both sides before it reaches Stanfield. Problem: the truck is always moving, and if Pierce hits it accidentally too much (which can and likely *will* happen), it’ll blow up, just like if you accidentally fire the cannon at it just once. The problem is the wheels have very precise hitboxes, specifically the right-passenger side ones, so if it starts moving too much it gets very, very annoying to hit those
How tf did I beat that Los Carnales mission from SR1? I was literally 13 years old and didn't know the game had cheats 😭😭😭
I found '... and a Better Life' was the most difficult mission for me. In the game's final mission, you will get killed by helicopters in one shot. With a few attempts, I quit the mission.
(Tbh, 'Reunion tour' and 'Salting the Earth... Again' wasn't hard for me and I also didn't know part 1 'Grand finale' was a glitch.)
Me too you have to always fly above the attack choppers so that they can’t fire rockets at you they only fire when they’re really close to you and have a higher altitude than you. The key is to have a higher altitude and keep distance from the choppers . Then try to blow them out the sky before they get near you and higher
"Reunion Tour" is the most aggravating mission on this list for me, personally. It doesn't even make sense. You can destroy more Brotherhood vehicles with an attack helicopter than you can by forcing Donnie to plant explosives.
Reunion Tour is not that hard but it is if you play it in co op.
I didn't have much trouble on that much trouble funny enough. It took me maybe two tries but other than that it was a breeze
Yeah, it took me few tries to complete that mission. Then again, even though I've been playing games my entire life, I'm not particularly good at them
Corporate Meltdown does have a formula to follow. All the Ultor trucks spawn in specific locations at specific times when the disposal truck drives past. get used to their spawning and you'll lock on them faster and get them out of your way. the RPG gunners gun require minigun spamming.
Watch where those trucks spawn.
Actually true. But I just kept playing through about 30 times that I remember the dialogue by heart …
Julius: this isn’t some fucking back street gang from Stillwater . The best way to beat the mission I advise playing it through day time. As that’s probably the only way to make the mission a tad bit easier without using cheat codes like I did (super explosion, vehicle repair) or having A good comprehensive Co-op partner which is much harder to do as the years go by
@@buincqv67 Those ways work. Personally, I'm a based player so i dont use cheats, or glitches or DLC weapons or vehicles. So i had to really rough it but i found a way.
You should do an entire video on Reunion Tour. Maybe play through the whole mission with commentary lol.
Last year I introduced a friend to SR2. When we got him to the mission, I stressed with all my heart that this mission is downright unfair, and to expect multiple tries. ....I literally couldn't stress it enough.
hell yes! a new video by mrsaintsgodzilla talking about Saints Row, these are my favourite types of video!
12:50 nah, that line makes more sense if you do the gangs in "chronological" order (rollerz > vk > carnales). In the mission where you pose as a limo driver & kill green, tanya will mention this, thus your pc's dialogue
I'd say probably an honorable mention would be the Brotherhood storyline ending, more if your not really armed up. The fact you don't have much cover and a horde of Botherhood (and Mareo) all firing upon you. Then if you do take down a lot of them Mareo then stops circling and immediately beelines for you. I remember first time I didn't know that I was pretty much gonna need a full ammo RPG to complete the mission and only had about 4 rockets. I failed the first time when Mareo booked it towards me and I shot his truck at point blank.
I went flying and got smoked
I can’t ever forget that time when I finally finished “What goes up” and as soon as that happened, I blew up from an RPG. I felt a rage that day like I never had before.
12:51 the player knows this because of the limo mission involving tanya where she says luz has last year fall collection shoes
Surprised the zombie mission from SR3 isn't on the list. That was always the hardest for me because there are so many zombies when you're trying to sonic boom the chemicals and your upgrades and cheats are turned off
That’s actually the easiest for me you have to try to save as much stamina as possible, even with cheats or full stamina unlocked you’re stamina bar still decreases (MUCH faster) than running during free roam due to the virus pathogen in the air .
I kinda feel it's not really as hard as it is just really annoying with the fire zombies sometimes bum rushing you; they die easily but they're hard to shake off... when Viola isn't being dumb when she runs into a fire zombie too
Brute zombies tho, they suck
How is it hard? Oh sure you can get caught in a stun lock by grabs but it's really not that hard
With a remaster of Saints Row 2, I honestly think they would mess it up or just delete things that "are not fit for the times were in."
Last The Carnales mission was definitely hard. And worse of all, insurance was very punishable in 1st game. If you have over thousands of dollars, you loose too much in your pocket.
Damn! You have improved a lot since I’ve subbed! Great job fellow Saint!
Saint Row 3's final mission where you have to chase down Killbanes plane at the airport before he takes off gave me PTSD flashbacks of the What Goes Up mission on my first playthrough.
awe man its been years since I've seen you!!!! (im finally subbing😭❤
I must be living in a parallel universe, because I regularly replay America's Next Top Scientist due to how fun it is. It's one of the levels that really feels like a massive battle and I never have trouble with it at all. Guess I must be that good.
No joke once I heard u say what goes up I got so mad because that mission took me 3 days to complete
Playing through saints row 2 in co op was ridiculous , such a fun video series to record. I still need to record the brotherhood missions cause I started recording after I finished some of them
I am forever surprised that I had the patience to finish some of these missions
Over the last month, I've been playing every main Saints Row game, and it's been a blast. That Carnales mission made me rage quit after 4hrs of trying to do this and gave up for a bit. I did beat it, but that rage is something I haven't experienced in a long time towards a game.

A great return.
Oh boy the Donnie mission had another hard part after defending him while he plays tic-tac-toe to finish deploying bombs. The final bomb where you have to drive away from a 30 second timer has the driver on the primed car be so relentlessly fast that you'll end up getting heavily sideswiped/rear ended/rammed off of the streets where you're just slow enough and pinned down to be unable to escape the explosion radius. Especially worse when in Hardcore difficulty where the cars are much more aggressive(idk if it is true but it feels like they are)
also HOLY SHIT I didn't know the damage you take in Nyte Blade's Return is that massive. Like 70% of health gone from a hail of lasers D:
I felt the pain of What Goes Up just recently. Having to spend 2 minutes to reach the destination again just to go back to square one makes me wish there was a checkpoint system. Somehow I did Hail to the Chief on my first try, making sure to hijack the other vehicles asap and hope to god I would reach Forgive and Forget.
Semi-Charmed Life was really difficult having to focus on shooting but having all the blue cars catch up to me and taking the durability away. Even harder to swap cars cause having to catch up with the truck with a time limit is especially annoying with the notoriety. It was a miracle I finished it and never want to again.
Well now I just want to play Saints Row again, it's probably been at least 10 years since I've played the second but man I loved that game back in the day
The “Meeting Orejuela” mission has to be the most difficult for me. There’s literally no outrunning Victor which only leaves you with one option, to fight him. The enemies are buffed up and with the added fact that this game doesn’t have checkpoints will drive even seasoned players like me mad.
That Bulldog of his is ridiculous I always try to get to forgive and forget to lose the notoriety and then get back to the church or “killing” Victor helps too
The Jessica Bank Mission Is The Hardest Because, Everytime You Die It Starts You From The Beginning Of The Misssion.
Definitely agree with what goes up being the hardest. I HATED that mission. The only way I beat was by getting lucky because somehow my car just kept missing the rockets.
Some ones I felt should've made the list:
All the Kings men - only beat it by using forgive and forget lol
Assault on Precint 31 - died so many times at the helicopter section and what makes it worse is if you do you go back before the party where you have to defend shandies which takes ages
Bleeding out - another one where the helicopter section was super annoying
The siege - no particular reason I just died a lot
Meeting oreuala - Victor got really annoying
Not a mission but that race in the second game where you have to fly that plane (not in the airport) was so annoying
I know it sounds silly but the penultimate missions for the Samedi in SR2 was so difficult for no reason haha, those cars driving around in the mall kept running me over, and my homies all had rocket launchers, Shaundi would always get stuck on the debris.
I did Salting The Earth Again in one attempt, since i always stocked up on ammo i had RPG ammo where i blew up the chopper while on my way to the yacht. I sorta understand how it could be difficult the first time but it's a pretty late mission in the game so it always confused me when people complained about it
I think the most difficult missions for was yeah "what goes up", "Reunion Tour", but this one brotherhood mission when your on a cargo ship and have to kill waves and waves of brotherhood members
I crashed at the key part in the grand finale too,I'm pretty sure the devs laughed at our suffering
Veteran child, bugs out sometimes doesn't let go of shaundi, or shaundi stumbles right into your line of fire.
Then assult on precinct 31, kept catching a rocket right as I was about to land. Had to jack a bear to get back.
I feel three way in sr TT should have a mention because of how often and easily Pierce goes down, often causing the player's death. This is of course if the player isn't fully upgraded. And From Asha with Love. Being swarmed with enemies like that isn't fun on top of being taken out by just two sniper shots 😅
Asha with love probably SRIV the hardest mission too i ever experienced... Since the murderbots was Resistance as hell from the bullets... And Volition troll us once again with this things
@@YZY_Fox21
The murderbots are a pain in the ass 😭. Especially the ones with the mines.
I look forward to seeing what frustrating missions there are in the new Saints Row game!
The carnales mission makes me cry even to this day I spent weeks trying to finish that damn mission
There's a mission in Saints Row 2, you have to invade a dock controlled by the Sons of Samedi, destroy the fish that have drugs and blow up 4 boats. I cannot describe how much I suffered on this mission.
I'm shocked that SR3 mission with Jimmy slowly driving across the entire map while you have the military on your ass isn't on here. Also I've never had any issue with Reunion tour. Even on Hardcore it's been easy as hell.
One time on Reunion Tour I was killed by the final truck but it didn’t fail it just spawned me at a hospital then it passed
sr1’s missions are especially hard because of the lack of checkpoints
I always played with cheats so I never knew how hard they were just thought some were long and tedious with the amount of enemies you have to kill, but man you a real gamer if you played and beat any of the saints row games without cheats
sometimes its not even about the combat, in the 3rd there is a escort mission near the airport that is just freaking annoying as hell.
You forgot that mission where you kill Evil You in SR IV. Without the health and damage upgrades it’s very hard to kill Evil You while fighting the Masako soldiers and MURDER BOTS.
Saints Row 1's missions are maddening because you have to DRIVE ACROSS THE FUCKING MAP every single time you want to try again.
Every DLC missions and Kinzie’s guardian angel 😤
To take out the vultures just use the sniper, it’s extremely good at destroying vehicles
One of the missions that annoyed me and took a few tries to actually complete was the one in Saints Row 1 when you had to chase down and completely destroy Angelo's Airplane with him and some other guys in there with him! The vehicle I was driving kept on getting blown up with the Rocket Launchers that everyone one of the Los Carnales that was driving towards you had! There were times I actually made it right next to the Airplane and I started shooting at it with the AK-47 or UZI! once I finally completed the mission I was so relieved and happy!
I remember spending hours on what goes up unbelievable frustrating mission
Honestly in my marathon of the series a few years back, i think the rollers finale was the hardest mission in saints row 1, mainly because of the endlessly respawning cars, your car being made out of tissue paper, no checkpoints in sr1 so you had to replay the start each time with the fucking infinite ammo bottomless clip uzi guys, and after a few deaths it just got more and more annoying
I had to pause and use the “repair vehicle” cheat so many times during that final Carnales mission
Okay so I learned this the hard way but the mission in the PC version of Saints Row 4 where you fly the spaceship through that tunnel system and you have to get through a closing bulkhead is actually impossible to complete if your settings are too high, the bulkhead will close faster than the ship moves so you'll never be able to get through, the way to fix it is to drop your settings to the lowest option and then the mission is playable
I used suck at what goes up but I'm every good at it now because everytime I do that mission I completed it on my first try
i did the first clip, from sr3, level 20 something, so it wasn't much different than normal. cover and headshots, typically how I do most missions where I'm really outnumbered. replaying sr3, 4, and gat out of hell. can't wait for the new one.
Prices mansion was the only one that gave me grief.
i hated the rollaz final mission, shoot tiny latches blow up cars while dodging pipebombs that kill faster than you'd think, not to mention the truck is faster than it should so theres a time limit as price will nuke the church, but shooting the truck doesn't do anything till the cabs gone
Saints Row series 4life !! I absolutely can not wait for the new game coming out in August.
I’m honestly disappointed that the final Vice Kings mission from SR1 didn’t make the list, especially because I remember you having an older “hardest missions” list where that mission was on the list!
In my opinion it’s harder than What Goes Up... simply for the first section where you’re driving around with Ben King dangling Stefan out the window. Cops go apeshit after you and you have to avoid them, keep the car from blowing up, maintain high speeds to keep Stefan afraid AND keep him from dying when the cops are constantly crashing into you. I don’t remember if the Vice Kings chase you too but either way I remember restarting that mission more than any other in the whole series!
OMFGF NO FUCKING WAY BRO THIS IS SUCH A SICK VIDEO MAN HOLY SHIIITTT WOWWWW
I remember I had a lot of trouble with this mission when I was young The final Carlos mission Where you get to kill Angelo
What goes up... In SR1 and Stealing The bus before you meet Mayor hughes of course..
And SR2 only i remember Fishing docks stronghold in hardcore mode.. never Destroy the Stash first... Destroy SoS boat first because i get killed in the first try not gonna lie this stronghold was hardest for me for the first time.. because SoS Keep respawn with Nonstop vehicles running at you+The number of SoS in the field keep increased..
Thank you for this. What Goes Up is what made me quits Saints 1. Never finished it because the level is ENTIRELY SHIT! Never even got to play the Vice Kings because of this mission.
I couldn’t even finish Saints Row 1 because of “What Goes Up” mission. It’s rare for me to get angry over a game, that mission was a rare exception. Never again.
I remember the first time I beat that mission with the Los canaries I sat down in my chair and took a breather I felt like I accomplished The impossible
What goes up was a nightmare to complete because of these damn Carnales members with the rocket launchers.
I never had a problem with hail to the chief until having to reach the forgive & forget. I didn't use many explosives until that point where it felt right to just become a domestic terrorist.
Some games were straight up unfair back in the days
Fuck yeah homie, new mr saints gorilla upload
All the kings me was the mission I struggled with the most in SR1 sometimes cops would just ram Stefan instant killing him only I have ever played over 15 times in Saints row 1
Semi Charmed life, if you don't have the right vehicle, or don't know what to do, or you forgot what to do, it's a hassle even more than what goes up. I breezed through "what goes up" with only few retries, but semi charmed life? That can be an impossibly tough one especially, when the traffick decide to double smash your ride into the railing two cars, one each side, then the cops sometimes get involved, which doesn't help at all.. I mean seriously, it's like the AI civilian drivers are working with Price always blocking and smashing your ride, they might be panicking from Prices pipe bombs. Maybe it's a glitch, I don't know, but it's the very definition of frustration.. I am still trying to remember what i did last time to beat it on 360. I wanted to play through the original saints row on my Xbox one S, as I do recall there being a memory leak in the game, which makes the game play a lot slower on 360, the longer you play it. Maybe the Ai civilian drivers bug out on Xbox One S. I just don't know.. I will keep chipping away at it though. God Bless.
EDIT: I found a way to beat Price, I used a semi truck, the platinum tk3 Urban, and a generic Homie! I died More times than I can count, until I used a semi, Died Once even with a semi truck. I think I used one last time I beat the game, come to think of it.. Anyway Semi retains speed, so you can shoot your gun periodically, It also has height advantage, and that increase in height makes it easier to aim, it take some practice, it's tough, but it is doable..
And here is where the madness begins!
man this list is crazy. the DLC missions for Saints Row 2 are still a pain to me. currently playing Saints Row the Third Remastered, having fun with it again. Fuck forgotten about that Salt the Earth... Again mission, that one was a pain
I screamed so hard my throat hurts now because of that last one
The shopping maul on the hardcore difficulty using no cheats is fkn hard I’ve tried it myself 😅 and I the final ultor mission .. And a better life I’ve raged quit on that one so much
I'm excited for the new saints row but I'd also love sr 2 getting remastered
If you need help on what goes up you can blow up dex car restart then when you get to the airport right before going into the blue circle shoot out all the tires then dex will go a little slower and slam into the airplane when you first go by it and you can easily destroy it then
What goes up is pretty hard but I figured out how to make it MUCH easier.
If you have an rpg, switch to it, you will have infinite ammo and just shoot the other rpg people with it and you only need to shoot the airplane like 3 times.
The Playa knew it was last year's fall collection because Tanya told him thinking it was her limo driver
Unless you didn't do that mission before you do the others
Carnales and Ronin are always my last gang
It was the latest fall collection when they started the mission.
Why are people always saying this, when it's way funnier if he just knows that off the cuff
@@SpyderDragonDude I mean… technically he says the line regardless if he heard Tanya say it or not, so he always had that knowledge.
Off the cuff still canon
