Beautiful
Thanks for the interest.
It's not difficult to make the molds.
For the base of the first one I made an open topped box out of scrap pieces of Contiplas.
The concrete needs to be only barely wet and it's a case of breaking open the mold before it has completely gone off so you can shape it.
The roof molds in the photo are just bits of old pallets, nailed together. With barely wet concrete and layer of sand and cement, you can mold it like you would a kid's sand castle and it stays in shape.
great work!
Fantastic.
thanks a lot!
Just treat them as you would bricks, just butt each of the sides against each other with a small amount of mortar between. For strength make a bowl of mortar inside the lamp, up to the edges of the openings, so that it can't be seen from outside, finish by applying a thin screed of mortar to the sides to hide the joins.
hi!... can you tell me how you asembled the windows together of the the first and second lamp?
Thank you!
ok where is the part that shows how to make them?
Thanks for the interest.
It's all in the write up, but here's a photo of the individual parts after being removed from the molds.

Nice job!! Love the 4 part "window section", simple and smart compared to the complex molds some use to cast their 4 windows in one block. Love the roof too and yes I'll copy your techniques. Cheers!
