Great video. Thank you and thanx to those good farmers who prevented the extinction of this awesome animal.

I've encountered a few of these cattle living wild on the Kissimmee river around 20 miles south of the lake. I doubt they are pure breed but have the look.

Free-range cattle roamed Florida until the practice ended in 1950. The first money I ever earned was helping a neighbor round up his free-range cattle in the Loxahatchee Slough. I was paid fifty cents an hour and ten cents an hour for my horse. The cattle were as spooky as a herd of deer and God help you if you got between a Cracker cow and her calf.

I've heard about them crazy cows around that big lake, jumping fences, not scared to swim and trying to climb trees😂 . First time I ever heard about herding cows with a airboat.

This links the Spanish to the natives of Florida.... not Columbus.... as so many want to lay blame....

    • @321gates

"They" blame Europeans for wiping out tribes across the Americas, while only seeming to focus on the British Europeans, not the Spanish Europeans. Funny how AOC doesn't push for statues to be taken down, or history to be erased in Puerto Rico. People are too dumb, or lazy, to pick up on this (agenda). I'm 4th generation Floridian and was taught Florida history growing up so I know Spain's roll in my state's history and the history of America as a whole.

I fully expected this to be some fruitcake story about herds of mulletted racist cattle in Florida. The kind John Wayne used to make movies about.
