yeah a small team of 10-20 people in a game company will work on a movie because you dont have any idea how time consuming and how many more people they'd have to hire for that
I read once it takes about a year to make these cinematics of a few minutes. You probably can't linear extrapolate how long it would take them to make a full feature film but I guess the production time would be too long and/or the costs would simply be too high. But who knows, with the rapid development of AI software to support the artists (not replace them) some things that are not possible at this time might be very possible within a few years.
Since the beginning of players asking the same question has always resulted in the same answer. Too expensive and would take too much time for them to develop a full length film version of their cinematics. Perhaps that could change some day, but that’s always been the case before.
People ask this all the time. When Disney or anyone else makes a movie. A 90 minute animation will usually take them 8 months to a year to create and animate. A single 3 to 5 minute cutscene like this takes a comparable amount of time and resources. To make a movie like this would be grand, but it would be someone's magnum opus at Blizzard cause it would take somewhere between 10-30 years for anything close to 2 hours of story. Not to mention the server/computer costs to render. That's why we do not have a movie tho

How has there not been a movie of any of the Blizzard universes done by the cinematic team yet. The awards would come flooding in.
I do remember there was Warcraft in 2017 if I have it correct.
yeah a small team of 10-20 people in a game company will work on a movie because you dont have any idea how time consuming and how many more people they'd have to hire for that
I read once it takes about a year to make these cinematics of a few minutes.
That's why we do not have a movie tho
bring back Diablo.
Amazing trailer and cinematic!
you guys always make these trailers so fire
I’ve loved this game since the beginning. Your storytelling and cinematics are absolutely beautiful.
What a cinematic!
I am not an ARPG player, but I loved the theme, vibe, and story of Diablo 4. Now that it has an Aztec theme as well, I cannot say no. I hope it still retains the biblical and gothic themes in its story too.
Every single cinematic for Diablo 4 was insane!
Has the Blizzard Cinematic team EVER had a L? Across all franchises? No, the answer is no. 10/10.
that hand split, that was batshit crazy
Say what you want about the rest of Blizz but their cinematics have always gone above and beyond.
Too bad it's a gaming company and not a movie company
THAT SCREAM THO! Amazing acting
This is like the 6th or 7th time I watch the trailer now and it's only been out for like 9 hours.. Those screams give me chills every time.. I'm blown away
That went towards a Hellraiser direction REAL fast.
Dear God!!! if only the game was as good as the trailers. Just amazing. A pinnacle of art and story telling. They should make a movie
Top notch cinematics as always! Can't wait to play this!
So dark and grim. I love it!
You simply make the best trailers, we need a whole Diablo movie in this quality but no live action.
I know the game needs focus on improving gameplay, but what I like the most about Diablo is the world, lore and stories. I hope one day we can get more lore and deeper stories with each new season or seasonal stuff with the campaign, once the gameplay aspects are more ironed out.
bruh if the game were as good, as these insane trailers........
blizzard mastered baiting thru trailer
Not gonna be, so don't hold your breath lol
Great trailer as always but that's all Blizzard manages to achieve. As long as D4 is not also available in a fully fledged single player mode for full immersion, I don't care anymore. Happy gaming to everybody who enjoys it the way it is of course 🙂
Out of all the trailers at the Xbox Showcase Diablo really showed up with this one. Kings in the cinematic trailer department. 10/10.
10/10 Trailer guys, amazing work
People have been begging for an animated series in Diablo Lore for so long with quality just like this. An already sold product. I can't for the life of me understand why they wouldn't just make it
It's so well done, that right before the mother says 'I'm so proud of you, but now I need you to give up'. You can see that the light in her eyes disappears. As if she were a corpse.
I noticed this and soon after, we have her hand necrotizing. Sensational! Great art work!
Gameplay will never be able to live up to that awesome trailer.
The insanity of how realistic these cinematics are, is just unfathomable.
2:33 the new wojak just dropped
Lmao
also on 2:54
blizz cinematics never disappoint! NEVER!
Killing it Hope Diablo will release cinematic in full length this is also their strength
amazing cinematic as always
This trailer feels more appropriate for Diablo V rather than an expansion.
The way she screams "me" at the end of "let go of me" is absolutely bone chilling.
can yall imagine how epic the return of diablo trailer is going to be!
I dont think we will see Diablo here…
Creative department casually reminding everyone, THIS is Diablo
Exactly, because the game doesnt do it 😂😂😂
These Cutscenes are always top notch!
If they could make the game as good as their trailers, men that would be a good game..
"Must carry this burden alone"
"Why?"
Because hobbits are resistant to the call of the...
oh wait...
To be fair, Mephisto provided the answer in this very cinematic.
The animation on this one is on fire 🔥
2:46 Neyrelle is like "oops" 🤣
Neyrelle: *basically did nothing to help, and just let you (the main character) solo'ed Lilith and the demon army alone and trap Mephisto in the stone.*
Also, Neyrelle: "I am a strong independent wahman, and I know better than everyone else, that I alone can resist Mephisto. So, I am going to steal this stone and run away with it because this is my burden to bear. You guys contributed nothing to get this stone, so fack off."
i've allways been amazed by Blizzard's animation/SFX team, big kudos to them for making high quality trailers throughout the years
So if we own the disc version of the game what version do we need to buy to upgrade to the expansion with the extras?
You just but it digitally as long as the disc is in it, it'll run.
there is a disc version? lol
😸
You hold the disc version. You own nothing.
