    As much as its nice to hear about planets that COULD support life, a lot of people don't seem to understand that the chance of life developing is extremely small, even on a planet with the right environment.
    You need the perfect storm to create organic particles and they'd need to last without too much disturbance in order to have time to evolve... takes a long time too.
    Hence the chance of actual life out there is unfortunately quite slim 😔

    • @jakehinton732
      @jakehinton732 2 роки тому +6

      Not really if you think about the building blocks to create us we are made out of some of the most abundant elements in the universe you are right about the perfect storm needed but that's for intelligent life but just standard Life comes in all facets and forms I will say that your statement confirms that you really don't understand just how large this galaxy is much less the entire known universe, just given relative size of our galaxy if life were a one in a billion chance it would still be abundant, don't stress that number across the universe and you'll see that it's not as rare as you would think but due to the sheer size that's a lot of area to search with very limited technology

      I'll just reply all
      I'm not saying it's impossible but I'm literally talking about chance.
      If you start at 100% chance that there's life and then just knock it down with each potential event that could happen, especially if you did it in terms of how likely each of those events are to occur, then you'd end up with what I said.
      The chance of other life in the universe is quite slim. We're here but we've been looking and so far we haven't found anything else just yet. But we've plenty why it can't exist where we've already looked. It's kinda like the religion argument, we've found plenty reasons why it doesn't exist but can't yet prove it does.
      Except in this case we might find something, I'm hoping like everyone else but I'm not very hopeful.

    Your Spaceship Won't Work, it will always be too heavy and Can't stop unless the other planet uses lasers on their side. Plus, even at lightspeed it'll take 118 yrs, plus 118 yrs X 2 round trip to send each messages back & forth to let them know to point lasers at our spaceship so we can start slowing down, which would have to be at the midway point, adding more years to the project not to mention years to accelerate. It needs to be a form of a Warp Drive/Fusion drive combo.

    I see big potential for railguns:
    a) intercepting incoming missiles and shells
    b) launching missiles and smart shells: After launch a missile contrary to a simple shell - can keep on accelerating, steering or start gliding, significantly increasing the range and accuracy. All the way up to ICBM's that could save lots of fuel on start and reduce their visibility on enemy sattelites.
    c) destroying enemy tanks with kinetic impact on a distance of up to 10 km. The higher speed makes the railgun more accurate on moving targets.

The one and only problem with your statement is technology. We do NOT have e the technology required to generate that amount of power without fuel. Period. Until you find a fuel source other than what we have, Hydrozine and other similar fuels are the only thing that's feasible. And, don't even get started on antimatter. It's too dangerous to keep on a ship or land-based vessel as of this time. It would cause too many accidental deaths in the interim. Sorry. Facts.

    There has been a rise in street protests in India from Islamic groups headed by extremist leaders over the controversial but factual issue of Aisha's age when she consummated her marriage with Muhammad. I as a tolerant Hindu like millions of others have received so much criticism from these Islamic group over our practices of idol worship and 5000 years old religious beliefs over the years without any violent reaction.

    Doesn't matter if theres life on other planets, we'll never know, even if we did, we'll never get there cuz its too far. Even if we can travel at the speed of light(which is impossible, its impossible for objects of mass to even come close to the speed of light), but even if we can, we still won't have enough time to get there. Theres only a couple of stars that we have a slim chance of reaching in the future with new technologies, which is next to impossible. But even if we could reach those two stars in the future, it would be useless, cuz theres no inhabitable planets there. Theres no planets in the so called "goldilocks zone".
    The best thing to do is develope technologies to get to other planets in our solar system and harvest possible elements for better technologies and make mars habitable and/or learn to sustain earth and keep it healthy. Why look for other planets when we already have one? The best thing we can hope for, for our descendants to able to continue surviving on earth is for us humans to wake up and open our eyes to what we are doing, finally seeing and realizing how bad we are killing the earth, the one and only planet we have and can survive on. We are seriously taken earth for granted. We NEED AIR TO SURVIVE!! WITHOUT AIR WE DIE!! And yet we continuously POLLUTE the air, each and every single day!! Its exactly like, ur breathing air from an oxygen tank to survive so literally that oxygen tank is ur life. But instead of taking care of it, u do everything u can to pollute and contaminate it!! Thats what we are doing!! We are doing that to make money, to have a better life, better everything, to live. But how can we live without a planet? Sure, it won't run out of resources and die in our lifetime, or even our children's lifetime, but if we don't WAKE UP NOW, the future its bleak for our grandchildren!! Plz ppl, WAKE UP!! Stop destroying the OCEANS AND RAINFORESTS!! For our children, grandchildren and their children sake. But most of all, for MANKIND!!! Don't let us go EXTINCT!!!

    Interesting thought, but the cost of research and development wold be astronomic, no pun intended. No government would invest on something that is not conclusive. I be happy to be part of such expedition and leave this dump, even if it was just an educated hunch.

    Most people don't actually understand how long it would currently take us Humans to travel even just one light-year, it's debatable but you're looking at it taking something like roughly 15-35 years just to travel ONE light-year! And that's depending on your speed...so basically we can't even put people on Mars yet, let alone hope to colonize or reach some habitable planet which is even further away...at least not for many, many generations. The only way we'd get to a planet like that sooner is if we were taken there by more advanced beings. So next time you hear oh Mars or Saturn is X amount of light-years away, multiple that number by even just 10 and you'll see that it's not even close to possible for us to get very far in space. We need a new type of propulsion (something better than that laser propulsion) and a way to either go into hypersleep and or create artificial gravity if we ever hope to reach an "Alternate Earth". The Human body is NOT designed to be in space for very long.

      no. other forms of light based propulsion could work.

    • @JohnnyXanax
      @JohnnyXanax 2 роки тому

      @@Wyatt125 OK, lets put it another way to make you happy. I am an engineer for the US Army. Perhaps a laser can help heat fuel panels, like solar panels, but with the power of about 1000 nuclear reactions, going off at the same time, that could possibly fuel the panels as fuel, but as propulsion, it is physically not possible unless the particles turn into a hardened state, like water, but that won't be a laser anymore. Maybe in the far future past you and I.

    Water on a planet does not necessarily mean there is life present. Based on our knowledge of life, life forms require far more than just sunlight and water. Life requires many different nutrients to even thrive at all. Life is complex and extremely challenging to understand, as life itself is very delicate. We do not know if life on this planet is possible because there is a lot to consider. So, this planet may or may not be able to support life.
