I have found PPI Heaven... Your collection has made my day! I used to work for Sound Advice in Miami, FL back in the day and sold many, and I had an A-404 and an A-200 in my old Mazda, sadly they were stolen from me... I would love to have some PPI's back in my life. :D
Dude I've been binging you videos, love stuff like this! Gives me inspiration, thanks for the vid 👌. Oh and crazy cool collection as well, four thumbs up!
Thanks man. Means a lot coming from the original old school UA-camr. Your the reason I got back into car audio. I’ve been a fan since you used to have Rockford amps on a turntable
Fantastic collection. Don't know Keith's situation but, for me space to store all this stuff (especially subs) is the real issue. Love the old black ProMos and black Art stuff. I've been searching for a 2300m/am forever. All the ones I find are in rough shape. Same for a ProMos 425 in black. The PCX amps are no joke either. Still run mine too. Thanks again for the tour!
I was really partial to the black amps. However the art has really grown on me and it's so distinctly 90's I might be more nostalgic to the white amps. My damn camera wouldn't focus on anything. I got another video I shot of his Kenwood head unit collection and a couple of amps I know you will like. Right from your heyday. Luckily that was shot with an I phone. Plus I picked up a bunch of amps recently and a new phone yesterday that makes the image less shaky. Thanks for watching man.
I had a 4125 in my regular cab 1997 F150. Barely fit above the box lol. Never got around to hooking up the front channels before I had to sell it. Thing was a beast on two JL 10W3V2.
Candy, Candy, Candy!!... Wow! Had awesome system up to 6 10s in '88 with a single 2075M series, doing the whole system w passive xovers, in a vw rabbit Had he TEAC portable cd player. (wish i knew now also, burnt :( the amp ohm load way low, could have done beter power hookup, etc...lol) Quite a collection, Awesome!
I've owned lots of amps from various manufacturers and still think the PC450 from 1997 was the best sounding 4 channel amp I've owned. (until the MMATS Hifi 4250 I have currently) Bought the PowerClass 450 used in 2000 for a hundo. Sold it in 2020 for a hundo (still in nearly new condition) to a friend.
that is the most comprehensive collection I've seen to date of the PPI brand and back in the 1990s I only seen like five of those amps even back then nice job thanks for posting
I also have two unused phase shifters . I never finished the car system i was planning due to life getting in the way . Not sure why i bought two at the time , I believe you only need one per system ? Does that sound correct ? Could you see a reason why you would put two of them in a system? Thanks
Yea it's really amazing to see them all together. He's worked really hard to piece this collection together. He spent several hours getting them out so I could film them. Thanks for watching
It's an amazing collection. It started with an A200.2. I think he said that was 11 years ago. I started collecting because I wanted to do a system in 2014 with all the stuff I couldn't afford back in the day. Next thing I know I can barely get around my bedroom because there's amps and subs everywhere. It's an addiction.🤣
@@brentb5303 Yep - I did the same thing. My first "real" amp was an '89 blue stripe Autotek 7050 on an M&M Godfather 15. I collected up all the Autotek amps that I couldn't afford back in the day and had them refurbished by Steven Mantz before installing them in my 4 Runner. Something about those old school amps that just get me.
I just recently purchased 2 precision power pro 12s with four ohm coils, i’ve been waiting almost 30 years to buy. Does anyone have an A1200.2 in black or white that they want to sell?
I believe I have a black A1200 in storage. It's way too big for anything I'll ever power. Thought about using it to power an IDMAX, but it would be too much for my needs.
Been a while since I've seen amps with power wires extending out of the amp assembly. I had a beautiful purple anodized unregulated linear power amp that I literally just gave away. Wish I had it back just for it's aesthetic properties alone.
Hey I have a pcx2200 and I can’t find anything on the internet about them. I need help tuning my amp man I would be forever great full for any help you can offer
@@brentb5303 If I'm understanding it correctly, the user manual indicates that AM is for *Adaptive Mosfet,* a feature of the switching power supply which modifies the power supply should the amp sense a load less than 2 Ohms, but greater than 1.5 Ohms, below which the current/thermal protection kicks in and powers down the amp. The M series manual does not say what the M stands for.. I assume it would be a Mosfet switching power supply without the feature that adapts to loads < 2 but >1.5 Ohms.
@@nodaysback1 I bet that is it. They referred to the power supply circuitry on the Art series as AM II and the Art .2 as AM III. They even used the term for the Power Series and called it AM IV circuitry protection. I never noticed any of that. Thanks for the information man. I always wondered if they didn't just change the designation to appear as if they were updating the series. They didn't do a very good job marketing the updates. I had heard that the difference between the A and A.2 was an updated power supply section but that is all I had heard.
If you ever decided to rid yourself of the PCX's, I'd damn near kill to have them. I'm trying to build my first SQ setup and remember having an old PPI amp on 10w6v1 triplets and I stab myself with a spoon every day I think about getting rid of all of it.
I will be selling a "SUPER RARE" PPI ART SERIES WIND BREAKER JACKET it was worn at the 1995 IASCA Nationals, i used it to tune my install on Greg Cassis Typoon, taking offers it is a XL Windbreaker near mint condion.

I enjoyed working at pi from 1989 to 1994. I screen printed most of those amps. Was a fun place to work at.
That’s awesome. Yea, you were at ground zero during the golden age. I would have to imagine there was some fun at work.
Did you get a company discount, and if so, what was the percentage
PPI a600.2 ❤

Really incredible ppi collection
Keith is so modest. I kept telling him it was incredible. Just recently he finally admitted that it was pretty impressive.
Nice collection. Kinda reminds me of the car audio room at Sensuous Sounds in Tampa, Fla. in 1992.
Didn’t they make one of their amps to be water cooled ?
The art series with the triangle and circle built into the sides of the amp was made to be water cooled.
