Hahaha hell yeah! I am in need for them chords!
7 years late, sorry, but my hot take is that videographers are specifically trained to recognise the hardest bits to play on the left hand (or unique chord progressions) and not show them. It's impossible that they do it on accident on 9/10 videos of acoustic takes.
It's not only difficult to play but to conceptualize it, to hear it in your head and put it into paper and music
