Exactly bro. Bangladesh and Pakistan are far ahead in band culture compared to India. All credit goes to the Bollywood music sh###ing everywhere in the name of music. Wish those talented guys and thousands many more get the platform and recognition they deserve.
Didnt know that, glad to know you guys have it. I really wish band culture got more widespread (not necessarily mainstream though) here in india. A lot of music these days is just a vehicle for marketing whatever vapid movie thats coming out.

Everyone uses the phrase "अहिंसा परमो धर्म" which I think is an eternal truth (one can practice it even when he/she is in a war). But first of all you should be sure enough about the words you use.
Gandhi ji interpreted हिंसा as 'violence'. But actual meaning of the term is rather close to jealousy, envy etc. It is not a क्रिया but a कर्म, i.e. it is not the action, but the basic thought that "why I don't have what the other has? However I understand that I don't deserve it", generally leads to the action of either destroying the possessor or maybe even destroying the possessed.
Look it is the same Gandhi who once said that whenever he travels everytime he notices someone bossing around and shouting, and almost everytime such a character is a Muslim. Further said that in comparison to that generally Hindus are play cowardly in such situations. But later embraced the murderer of Swami Shraddhananda as "अब्दुल तो मेरा भाई है", probably to collect Muslim support for his political aims. Such ways of Gandhi were heavily criticised by thinkers like Ambedkar, Savarkar, Aurobindo etc, but I don't consider myself worthy as either of them to criticize Gandhi as a politician. I can certainly say that Gandhi ji unnecessarily made the water of Indian philosophies, muddy in many more ways.
