I love how well you incorporate your children into reviews! I’m a new father and I want to start building a collection for my daughter so I appreciate this insightful review!
Great review! I agree with you that the aquarium strategy is a little OP - my oldest always gobbles up the aquarium pieces early and runs away with the lead. Still, my younger loves filling his vault and gathering shells. Overall a great mix of mechanics and great art that mean the journey is just as much as fun as getting the win. Excellent job, Yoda!
5:50 Rulebook pp 4-5 You may never move into any Wreck spot that another one of your Diver’s already occupies. (though you may move into a Beach spot occupied by one of your own divers). I don't know if that's a game breaker though. regardless it's a fair houserule. If he goes for Sea World-size aquariums, he’s probably goes for a lot of Seashells instead of Treasure. So he probably goes straight to the beach often and passes up wrecks? and get’s good dice rolls from the Box & Reef. I shake the dice up and drop them via opening two hands. I thought about using a dice cup. In the ‘it’s your game you bought it play it how you like to’ houserule thinking, one thing I do a bit is if there’s only 2-3 dice that in the shell boxes, I might roll the others back into the box. It might bump some like curling though but it can get more shells in the mix. I don’t like puzzle-style games. But I liked the theme & esthetics so I got it for 50% off at B&N right before the pandemic is how I remember it (no I never played the game Pandemic lol). I don’t like the yellow dice so I use different colored ones from a Stack Attack dice game on sale. There's also a game called Tenzi that has nice colors (I also have KTBG’s Fossilis KS). I’ve only played solo. I just typed up my own rules reference. The RAW aren’t well presented layout-wise. They do work though. I haven’t played in a while. But was going to when I ran across this vid. Interesting that you have the Divers with stickers but the yellow dice. The KS had those diver’s but purple dice with sea life pips from what I recall. How often do you play a game like this, owning so many? Games these days also have a ton of components to rebag. I doubt the kids like that part lol ‘Yoda’ does sound like a Jewish (or is it Hebrew language) name. I’ve been a Star Wars collector in the past. I googled Yoda’s name origin “It's a common family name in Japan actually pronounced with a long "o" … “Japanese author/translator Hiroko Yoda was having trouble signing up for a Facebook account…it blocks the registration of a number of names that are frequently abused on the site. The name "Yoda," also being the name of a popular Star Wars character, is on this list of blocked names.” Also “It is speculated that that name may be from the Sanskrit word "Yoddha" which means warrior, or the Hebrew name "Yodea" meaning "One who knows.” A Star Wars collector Mom I know named her kid Anakin for real! MTFBWY If I was into doing game videos I'd do a solo play of this.
Very much enjoyed this joint video with Yoda and his thoughts on it in addition to yours! I am torn on this one, and whether I'm keeping it or not. I found it a bit dull but have only played it twice. Thinking of having board game nights with friends in the future and might keep it in case they have kids who want to play. I think part of it for me is also the take that aspect. I'm becoming very adverse to player competition in games as I get older, especially in kids' games. I find that co-op just works better with kids. But I think my main problem with this one is just it was a little slow and dull. We might house-rule it to make it go faster. I can see how it would get really slow with more people. We mostly play with 2, and 3 at the most with our games. I'm just now getting into gaming with people outside my nuclear family.
Lol, just a nickname. Full name is Yackov Daniel, we abbreviated it down to Yoda for fun back in the day, we're not ever star wars junkies...we just thought it was funny :) He now loves Yoda of course.
Great job Yoda! Alex, the family involvement on the channel and in gaming in general is just awesome!

I'm impressed with how bright your child is. One, "Humm" from him, and I'm already afraid to play against the small genius.
Thanks Efrain :)
Really great review and you have the most impressive children! Cheers and well done team Radcliffe!
Thanks Nicole :)
Holy moly! How many amazing kids do you have!? What a great review. Yoda's adorable. Thank you so much for this awesome review!
He loves the game :) I figured it made for a good first video :)

How old is Yoda?
About 900 years young.
How did you convince your wife to let you name your son Yoda? Asking for a friend...

What an handsome young man and very natural. You have a very talented family 😍
