How is it fair to expect Balkan countries to always send something with ethnic elements, while not expecting the same from other regions like Scandinavian countries. My personal favourite is Albina. Such an catchy current and well-produced pop song, that will most likely have amazing staging because she is working with very famous Croatian dancers. No it's not ethnic, but this is the type of song that Sweden would get top 10 with 😁 I also wouldn't mind Nina, Filip, Bernarda and Ella.
THANK YOU!! Sweden is always top 10 with generic pop songs and Croatia DID try with ethno several times and it failed. I feel like only esc fans really care about this ethno element, the general audience doesn't...they just want the song to be good, that the singer sings well and that they can enjoy it, that's about it.
The biggest chances has Nina. I wouldn't mind seeing Albina, or Bernarda either. Counting on male singers to deliver as well (Filip, Cambi, ToMa). We finally have a decent selection.
Still very upset and sad that Nina didn't win the national selection, how much I wanted to hear that magical traditional ethnic song in Eurovision... aghh.. 😭😭❤️❤️
I guess the point of esc is to get best possible results. Since croatia has already sent klapa ( type of music that cambi sings and we didn't get to the final ) sandi is also dated and seen so many times. Guess smth like this would do good in 2000s. Me personaly think that nina bernarda or albina could do good :)
Croatian here - I really don't care about the language, I care about the best song. In this case, it's Nina, but there are several English songs I wouldn't mind as well. On the other hand, not every song in Croatian is good. I mean, if you want to glorify anti-vaxxing, go ahead and pick Tony. Cause that's what that song is basically about.
Iago and Katie were such a mood ❤️❤️❤️ Iago's "This is BOOOORRRRIIIINNNGGG!" is such a vibe 😂😂😂 Also Me: I think Katie prefers male vocalists. Katie: I think I prefer male vocals. Everyone: 👀👀👀 Katie and Iago: I'm trying to stay positive. I think there were a lot of bops but no bangers and that is concerning because a lot of return artists are delivering bangers and new comer Barbara Parvi have set a high bar for new competing artists... And, a lot of the Croatian songs thus far have been very middle of the road.
Hard to judge based only on the snippets but I'm hearing good potential in several of them. My favourite would have to be No 3, I love it when songs flirt with an 80's sound.
Oh I don't want Nina again, it is boring and too much at the same time, it's just so forced (like Jacques and his song My friend) and the song itself is boring and generic. The talent itself is not enough if the song is boring, meaningless and doesn't resonate with people - at the end of the day it is a SONG competition.
*WHICH SONG DO YOU WANT TO SEE REPRESENT CROATIA AT EUROVISION 2021?* 🇭🇷
Albina or Nina 😁
Nina!
Bernarda with Colors
Rijeka 🇭🇷
Bernardaa
Nina sounds like a Balkan Florence and the machine. 12 points
Bernarda is blind so that is why this song about seeing colours is really strong imho, love her, her powerful vocals and Nina of course

@@eminav1102 1944 is my only answer
I could also say Spirit in the sky
@@ムト-p1d I loved 1944
@@eminav1102 "Spirits Are Calling My Name" (Sweden 2000), and any song they churn out with hints of the so-called "schlager sound".

Nina, everything else is too generic and dull as the lady said
Nina for sure, other are bad or generic like sooo generic they all sound the same
Bernarda and Nina and albina!
Yes!
I love their reactions😂 For me Rijeka is a clear winner😃
This is actually a very good national selection. Even most of the "generic pop songs" are fine by me. But Cambi seems to be lowkey my favourite.

Honestly quite a dissapointing and boring selection. Dora should ban songs in English and have some better quality control. 🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷
