And he's a leader, that's what makes the biggest difference. Ant is amazing but he's a bad leader. KD left as a direct consequence of not being a leader type. It's something we shouldn't take for granted. Being an amazing scorer is one thing but a championship team needs a leader
The goal is not to be the Splash Bros & Draymond Warriors. The goal is to be the D.Robinson-Duncan-TP-Manu-Kawhi Spurs. A 20yr run of continual greatness. That's where Presti was groomed.
I think something will be done, Dieng seems out and Presti doesn't usually let those contracts reach the offseason. That said, if you are not an elite shooter or a second unit generator All around you will not earn minutes in this team. If you're not going to get any of that, stay as you are, I'm fine with that.
Hear me out. I don’t think we should make a trade, I love our vibes and chemistry and we’re playing great. But if we had to, nickeal Alexander-Walker would be great imo. Could trade Joe for him with maybe just a second or two. He shoots sinilarly, is bigger, plays better defense, and gives a good option for backup point guard minutes. Plus, he would be a natural chemistry fit given his relation to Shai. I rest my case. Please tell me what y’all think 😂
Look at Boston a million draft picks and the only 1 they got out of all the those was Tatum. And he was before they were hording them. Drafts work if you cash them. You don't they are worthless. You hate giving up picks. But history shows a million picks doesn't mean you'll ever get anyone good with them. Use them to get a finished player.
Boston got Tatum and Brown with those picks. So their 2 best/most important players. They also traded 1 of those picks for Kyrie. If anything Boston shows you should keep your picks if you can use them well.
We have a TEAM. So we can still play when someone isn’t available. Chet will always be a potential sideline from injury. We cannot put a lot of eggs in that basket.
Why would steph agree to that? Why should he be the udonis haslem at this point? He'd probably ask to be traded if they tried to make him do that. He's still capable of performing at an elite level
People are too naive if they think that a team like Boston just missed wide open threes and lost the game due to that. It's obviously no coincidence that a ridiculously talented offensive group in the Boston Celtics faced a historically relentless defensive team in OKC and shot the way they did during the whole second half. Thunder just force teams to play out of rhythm. If your offense is slow, if you can't get to your sets early, if you exert ridiculous amounts of energy just to get to your offense, if the other team is getting stop after stop and flying with momentum, you're not gonna hit open shots. If you feel uncomfortable on the court, if your offense has no flow and your wide open shots are not naturally generated, you're not going to make them. That's what happens in the game of basketball. The shooting variety discourse feels lazy. We're talking about the most talented offensive players on the planet. They're not gonna miss shots if they feel comfortable within their offense. Thunder just force teams to feel uncomfortable and we should give them credit.
DPoY. Hardly. The guy in SA can' lose. the NBA loves him and wants him to win. He wins it and it will not be close. The crime is Dort never made an all-defense team. That's the crime. You may get 30 on him but you worked to get it. When he'd defending your shot are going to shoot in and he's going to be in your face. It's like he's inside your jersey. He's always there. If the guy was 6 7 instead of 6 3 he'd be even more of a nightmare. Because most NBA stars can shoot right over him. He makes it hard on you but he can't stop it because of his size.
I don't want to hear any complaints about Joe going 0-7 from three in a pivotal playoff game that we lose if we don't trade him for Johnson. It's a no brainer to want to make the switch and we have enough draft picks to give up a couple in exchange for Johnson. Stop with the chemistry fear mongering we traded Tre Mann who was just as ingrained in the team as Wiggins or Joe. I love Joe, but if you can upgrade him for a guy like Johnson its a no brainer move.
It’s unlikely that he will just be regulated to the corner as the thing OKC is currently lacking are players who can create offense and Chet can be exactly that.
Green fit that was all. He lands anywhere else he would have been out of the league long ago. Trying to hang on with aging players has never won anything. There is no player GS can add that would make them good. Baring injuries to everyone GS have zero chance to even win a series. GS it the team you show to people when it's should you hang on the aging players. The answer is no. Let's someone else pay them they are winning you nothing. What they give up on defense will never make up what they give you on offense. Anyone Curry is defending is free points. It why he can score 40 and the team can't win. Before 40 meant GS won. Now it's GS didn't get blown out. Because he's defense is so bad. Green can still defend crap players but now he's free points if the offensive player he's guard has any talent at all. Age waits for no one. They had their run and grats to them. It's been over for a while now. Trying to keep the boat that's full of water afloat can't be done. and GS boat is full of water.
There’s a lot wrong with this. A. Curry isn’t a bad defender. He’s not good but he’s not bad. B. Draymond is still an elite defender. He’s the main reason Golden State is a top 10 defense. But the main thing wrong is GS is not the team to show “holding on to aging players” that’s LA if anything. Golden State is the perfect example of not committing to the future or the present. Steph has and is still good enough to be the best player on a championship team. But Golden State is tooo focused on the Two Timelines concept because it worked once. They haven’t accepted it won’t work again. If I was them I’d commit to the present but even if it was the future it’d be commitment. Rn they’re in no mans land staying competitive because of coaching culture and curry/dray.
what does a little bit more time with the athletic mean?
Right? Now you got me being nosey Andrew!
Sounds like their contract got extended.
I think
SGA is just like Michael Jordan. He's incredible i've watched I've basketball for a long time and that dudes got it It's amazing to watch him
And he's a leader, that's what makes the biggest difference. Ant is amazing but he's a bad leader. KD left as a direct consequence of not being a leader type.
It's something we shouldn't take for granted. Being an amazing scorer is one thing but a championship team needs a leader
"IDK, what if Topic is amazing?" is my favorite recurring bit on the show lol
We need to keep our guys together. I like Cam Johnson! But let's see what this team can do
The goal is not to be the Splash Bros & Draymond Warriors. The goal is to be the D.Robinson-Duncan-TP-Manu-Kawhi Spurs. A 20yr run of continual greatness. That's where Presti was groomed.
Mark. He’s our secret weapon.
As Shai keeps saying: we just love hooping. They flat go out and just hoop

you could fill the entire all-defense team with Thunder players
Hart has been playing a little longer than Chet. Chet still has so much to learn and he’s played only one year in 3

fifteen. In. A. Row.

I’m surprised nobody was booing the refs super loud when Hartenstein got leg locked. I’m not saying it was intention….wait a minute, yes I am.

Dragonite all the way 😆🤷♂️⛈️💙
Healthy doesn't mean they fit. Hopefully it fits you just never know. If OKC make Chet that horrible 3 only player to fit in they'd be a worse team.
