My First and Last is still one of my favorite songs by them. The choreography is so beautiful! And their young voices, their smiles, it’s just too precious! Jaemin had to take time off from the group due to a back injury, and came back for Go. I know, we also missed him so much. Fortunately, he was able to recover and come back.
Jaemin was on hiatus because of his back injury during 2017 after the debut in chewing gum. He came back with during the GO era. I wish we could see Jasmin during 2017 in the more young and cute concepts because the songs become more mature after GO and Jasmin has already become so mature after his hiatus;;
Jaemin was not in the two videos because of health issues (back injury) at that time. My First and Last is NCT's first win. The Dreamies did that. 💚 Also, Haechan's vocals is insane. He does most of the adlibs and bg vocals when they were starting but I am happy that Chenle and Renjun do amazing adlibs now. Just seeing their growth. 👌 MFAL also has this theory that the Dreamies are ghosts and they stayed in the school. Their first love happens to teach at that school. my first and last looks like a weird mv where the boys have a crush on their teacher but it’s actually a lot deeper than that. a few months ago the “ghost theory” of the mv started going around. it is believed the mv is about dream becoming ghosts and going back to the school they used to go to and seeing their first love is now a teacher. The vintage-style clothing worn by the members has also been pointed out as a potential indicator that they are playing ghosts wearing clothes from before they passed. The dance move in the beginning of the choreography also has gained a new potential meaning. (the move that imitates a heart beating) which at first signified falling in love but could now mean they’re coming back to life. also let’s not forget how the teacher was “ignoring” them but it was simply because they were never physically there. now all what we can do is sit and cry.
Honestly speaking, he's the first reactor I've watch who notice that Jaemin wasn't there because it is usually Mark they notice when he's not in the video....

both these songs are such serotonin boosters i love them so much We Young is my favorite Dream title track, the music video is cute but i wish they had done something different especially because the choreo is SO insane and creative, but they barely showed the killing parts
The choreo for both of these songs is incredibly impressive and some of my fav NCT choreo for any unit, ever. I still go back and watch it to this day. Dream were certainly very young and their concepts fit that however, the musical and dance talent has been overflowing since forever. Perhaps the reason I feel so emotional and proud of the Dreamies is due partly to watching them grow up (while being old enough to be their mother which makes the fan experience different) but also partly due to the incredible work they have all done while also managing a LOT of uncertainty. The unit started as something they would "graduate" from with no clear indication of what would happen after. They grew up together, debuted together, but there was no guarantee they would get to stay together. Jaemin got injured and there was no knowing if he would be able to return. Mark graduated and they continued without him which was really hard and everyone waited to see what would happen with the 00 line when they turned 20. It must have been so incredibly stressful for them. (Of course, we remember how emotional and intense it was for us as fans, imagine living it.) And through it all they have kept working, held onto their hope, put out great music, grown as performers and they have a bond and chemistry like no other. Don't get me wrong, I could wax poetic like this about a lot of my fav units/groups. But there is something really special about Dream and it's like I adopted them a long time ago and watching them succeed and grow just makes me so happy.

And some even compare it to "Replay" by SHINee. Because all of these songs are about teenagers having a crush on an older woman. :D In "My First and Last" the boys all have a crush on their teacher, but in the end they discover that she is already married -- hence the man you see come to pick her up at the end of the day -- and she even has a baby -- as you see with the baby on board plaque in the car window. She couldn't be any further from unavailable. You really need to see the dance practice for "We Young." The choreography is so complex and intricate that you don't even get a real sense of it in the MV, until you see it uncut in the dance practice. And yes, Jaemin injured his back not long after NCT-Dream's debut, so he didn't participate in the next couple of comebacks.
A really good one to watch is the dance practice for one of their b-sides called '1, 2, 3'... the choreo is awesome and they really seem like they're having fun with it. It's from the 'We Go Up' era so Jaemin and Mark are both present. Oh, and their Station song 'Don't Need Your Love' is a must see... it's a collab with a UK pop star called HRVY (but Mark & Haechan are both absent)... personally, I adore the video because Renjun really gets to shine in it, which he doesn't get a whole lot of chances to do, sadly.
