Can someone tell me when was this version filmed please? I already know that the 2006 version was flimed from October 2004 to May 2005 but released in between March 7th and May 12th 2006 because that is what it says when I searched for it. But what about this 2015 version? All I know is that this version was released between December 3rd 2014 and March 11th 2015 but I want to know when it was filmed. Thanks.
I've watched all the remakes and I still can't stand the arc where she runs off and marries the old perverted man in the poison flowers place. That arc is way too long and the worst in my honest opinion. However, if I remember correctly the 1995 version with Louis Koo and Carmen Lee that arc went by fairly quickly as though the writers and director knew the fans don't want to see it drag on and waste time almost like a filler. I have some gripes about Xiaolongnu story line. I've counted at least three different times (possibly more) where she kept running away from Yang Guo. First was after she was graped by the Daoist (or Taoist) guy. It took Yang Guo forever to find her after that. Second was after Huang Rong had a talk with her about a master shouldn't have a relationship with their student so she ran away and decided to marry the perverted old man who's old enough to be her dad in age. That caused Yang Guo so much hardship and getting poisoned by the deadly love flowers. Third was when she jumped off the cliff into the abyss and forced Yang Guo to wait for 16 years. Why couldn't she shorten it to 8 or 4 years? Why 16 years? That's a long ass time to be waiting for your one true love. Actually, now that I think about it, the whole story is basically about Xiaolongnu running away from Yang Guo and causing so much hardship and trouble for him lol and I suppose without that happening there wouldn't be a story to tell. Anyways, that's just my rant on some story lines that always boils my blood, especially the old perverted man arc. I hate that arc with a passion! Out of all the different remakes that I've watched, I like the 1983 version with Andy Lau and Idy Chan the best because there was so much emotions and heartfelt passion from the actors and also because they use real kung fu fighting. The newer remakes uses more special effects because I believe the actors are not as trained and skillful in martial arts when compared to past actors so they had to compensate somehow. The second best would be the 1995 version because they use real kung fu in that as well. I love real kung fu choreography and I can tell when the actors don't know real martial arts.
