If i have a shaft with a keyseat, since this element favors the formation of a crack, is it wise to have that area (and not the entire shaft) heavily polished, so i slow the crack formation?

Eren Erdem generally the temperatures encountered are less than 350 degrees, so this factor is not considered except for elements in extreme operating conditions..
