The "big guy" is BM (which stands for Big Matthew -- a nickname he has had since he was a kid) who is Korean-American for L.A. and he is the main dancer and lead rapper, who also often writes KARD's songs. J.Seph is the other guy, who is a main rapper and lead dancer. (BM is more likely to choreograph KARD's dances than J.Seph.) Jiwoo is the girl with the deep voice that you like, who is a lead vocalist and the maknae. Somin is the main vocalist. KARD's "more adult" aspect of their group that you like is one reason why -- along with the fact that they are a co-ed group that doesn't fit the traditional Kpop mold -- makes it so they are far more popular internationally than they are in Korea. They have a very large Hispanic fan-base and many of their songs have Spanish lyrics because the members actually speak Spanish, some Portuguese and Brazilian, etc. They are actually more likely to be touring in the west or Latin America than a lot of other Kpop groups. To get to know BM better, check out his podcast program "Get Real" on the Dive YT channel that he does with Ashley who is from the Kpop girl group Ladies Code, Peniel from the Kpop boy group BtoB and other Kpop artists who guest host. The channel is a podcast company started by Korean-American solo artist Eric Nam and it features English speaking Kpop idols as hosts of their own podcasts, who often interview other Kpop artists and talk about what it's really like to be a Kpop idol, etc.
THEY DO HAVE DUO SONGS AND BM HAS SOLO SONGS. SLOW SONGS RECOMENDATIONS: WHIP, BREAK DOWN, HOLD ON, MOONLIGHT, TRUST ME, INTO YOU, GOOD LOVE, TELL MY MOMMA, WASTE MY TIME, BECAUSE, MEDICATION, DETOX. DUO SONGS: ENEMY, INFERNO, FXXK YOU, BEEN THAT BOY, TRUST ME BM AND SOMIN VER., TRUST ME JSEPH AND JIWOO VER, BADGIRL BADBOY BM SOLO SONGS: 13IVI, BROKEN ME, NECTAR,ATAP, LOWKEY, MOTION,EMBERS,LOYALTY. Whatever song you choose to react to will be an amazing song. There's also members guide videos that you can react to.
KARD was invited on BLIP channel to sing covers of older CoEd groups. Everyone sings btw. Also technically on the Ring the Alarm mv JSeph and SoMin did harmonize together.
Thanks for looking into more KARD! To keep it simple, the four members are J.Seph (shorter guy), BM (taller guy), Somin (higher vocalist), Jiwoo (lower vocalist). I feel like the closest/best recommendation as far as a "ballad" would go is their song "Hold On", or "Trust Me." The latter has three versions though: The "KARD" version is what you'll find an actual video for and features all four members, but is quite short and the guys don't have much of a part in it (namely they sing the bridge together). Second is the "BM and Somin" version which is musically the same, about a minute longer, and BM has a self-written rap verse. Third is the "J.Seph and Jiwoo" version which is as long as the "BM and Somin" version but the music is remixed, a bit faster and a bit louder. J.Seph, too, has his own self-written rap verse for this version. Otherwise closest you'll get is some songs that have a bit more chill, summery vibes - "Ride on the wind," "Tell My Momma," "Waste My Time," "Good Love," "Whip!" You'll find they largely lean into a lot of reggaeton/Latin influences with most of their music. I'm personally a big fan of "Ride on the wind" because it also gives us J.Seph actually singing, which we don't get often.
If you can, i recommend these songs for you: Hold On (its a b-side, more a ballad song, they released when J.seph was send to the military) Break down, Good Love and Whip! (Have more essy listening vibes also bsides) Ride On The Wind or Hola Hola (its more bright side) Oh NaNa, Don't Recall or Rumor (it's the most fan favorite trio) Red Moon, Dumb Litty, Gunshot, and Bomb Bomb (its more a stronger side of KARD) Boys duo (J.seph and BM) - 'Inferno' and 'Been That Boy' Girls duo (Somin and Jiwoo) - 'F**k You' and 'Enemy' BM has solo releases more mature side, his last album is fireee, 1st EP 'Element' the title track is 'Nectar' and the most popular bside is Loyalty or Motion
So you know! They are touring soon in the U.S! The one you are very pulled into is BM and he has his own solo stuff! Very club appropriate music. Saw his solo concert last year and it was 21+ show, had my jaw on the FLOOR! Very amazing live performer!
bm is the only member with official solo releases, but somin has been featured on songs and jiwoo has solo music and music with other idols released for shows she was on (good girl and double trouble). jiwoo is the “rocky” voice so i highly recommend her cover of dr.bebe (with jang hyunseung, who was also in a coed duo) or breakdown (it was supposed to be her solo but it didn’t go through so she suggested they add it to the kard album with all the members) vocal-wise i recommend moonlight, breakdown, hold on(written for j.seph and his enlistment), trust me or their re: album highlight live medley
Y'all should check out some of BM's solo music. He has some hits. "Lowkey" is one of my favorites. "Nectar" excellent one "Loyality" is another good one.
The most solos has BM, the guy with blue hair. I would reccomend ATAP. and Lowkey by him. He also has song featuring Jay Park called Nectar. Fun fact not shoure if all but some kards concerst are 18 plus or at least that one I wanted to attend but couldnt because of work, and BMs solo tour is 21 plus years old. If I am not mistaken people cant even film there, because of the description that I heard is more like stripteas show, but that doesnt change that his songs are good. And for more chill song by Kard I would reccomend Tell my mama, as for club song then Without You, and something similar to Cake would be Spin. My favourite is probably Red moon.

They perfom this in AAA (Asian artist awards) and the others idols were so shock! lol. I recommend Spin, is similar style.
