I had a little tweak with my back and went to see Dr. Ungar at my wife's insistence. I had an adjustment on my back and through the conversation with Dr. Ungar at that time, the subject of the Achilles tendon came up. He suggested that cold laser therapy could be the answer to my problem, my partially torn Achilles tendon.
Through the first 3, 4, or 5 treatments, I was feeling a little bit of a difference immediately after the treatment. As we progressed further on down the line, it seemed like the time span of the pain relief was getting longer and longer. So when I got to the point of about 7 or 8 treatments, I was feeling pain relief not only walking out the door, but feeling pain relief through part of the day. And then as we went down the line from maybe 9, 10 treatments, down to the 15th treatment, the pain subsided significantly, and then at the end of the treatment, really didn't have any pain at all.
I think that it's a fantastic technology and why not use technology that's available to people versus using drugs and other forms of possible relief that is just temporary, where laser is a lasting treatment. You have to be patient, it's not going to be an immediate relief, it's going to take maybe a week or so until you really start to feel the difference. But I felt the difference after maybe the 2nd or 3rd treatment while walking out the door, I could feel that the pain was less than it was when I walked in the door.
