Retired NYFD Commissioner on TM for First Responders

On December 3, 2013 the David Lynch Foundation held it's annual Change Begins Within Gala in NYC. Honorees included Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra Lee Furness and Salvatore Cassano, the Commissioner of the New York City Fire Department, who received the Lifetime of Service Award.
In this video Mr. Cassano discusses the importance of offering a tool as powerful as the Transcendental Meditation technique to first responders who deal with overwhelming stress on a daily basis.
"I wasn't going to try to sell something to my guys unless I did it myself. So Bob [Roth, Executive Director of the David Lynch Foundation and Transcendental Meditation teacher] taught me how to meditate, and I liked the results. It's a stressful job with little sleep.
