Hello mate, i need your help please. I've done everything same way as you did, however i can not move crankshafts in horizontal position, even with force not. I've put camshaft cover on and i tried to move camshafts to horizontal position that i can lock them, however it is not possible to move them even for one millimeter. Thanks for your answer.!!!
Just position the cam seals straight and you will have to unscrew one bolt from the hubs slightly so the valve cover goes in. Just carefully put the cover back on and then tighten the one bolt on each hub after valve cover install.
@@BuiltForSpeed Because you never fully removed the hubs did you not have to go through the process of timing them? That's the one bit of this job that I'm worried about messing up.
@@BuiltForSpeed Sounds good thank you lots, I'm definitely gonna avoid messing with the hubs if possible, want to give myself one less thing to screw up.
Was the top, where the cams sit, of the cylinder warped also? I brought my cylinder head to a machine shop and they said that the top, where the cams sit, was also warped and the cams might not lay properly.
Just finished installing the head on my 99 V70xc and it starts but also has an exhaust manifold leak. How did you manage to install the gaskets with the head back on?
Really appreciate you taking the extra time to log these!
Head is so clean.
Yeah it's shiny
great info on the engines
one piece exh gasket is easier to install, they sell it.
lower intake bolt next to the thermostat doesn't need to be removed.
Great work man, good stuff
Great video as always. Thank you mate.
Thank you.
Great job
You make the good video
So you live in Oregon but have a wicked awesome accent that I can't put a finger on... Lol.

How'd you manage to get the new cam seals in without removing the VVT hubs? great videos, just what I've been looking for

Depends how badly. If its warped barely out of the specs the you might be fine. Mine was warped at the limit.
Hey, do we need the cam cover holder tool when removing the cover? Is it necessary to use it or can I avoid a cracked cover without it?
it makes it much easier and it's not expensive on amazon. But you can remove it and install without it.

Just feel them out with your hands. And maybe use small mirror that bends.

Nm i mentioned that in the video.
It sounds ruff to me bro??? Not completely smooth, maybe its miss fire or could be exhaust leak 🤔
It was exhaust leak i didn't line up one of the gaskets properly i fixed it in our next videos
@@BuiltForSpeed thats all good news! Now get a big turbo and send it to space!!!! 🔥🔥👌
