Man... I´m so glad I clicked on this, it was just an accident... man WHAT A SONG!! I always thought singles are the same like the song on an album :O I was wrong for good, thanks for uploading my friend! :)
Lyrics: Not so far from the wide dragonland Where the valleys breathe the smell of dark hate Dargor is marching with the poor Airin There where dark has ruled forever for the demonknights Fire's riding to valleys of death While shadows are rising from bloody hells Fire's riding to Hargor, the town Where evil and terror conquer the clouds We sing to the wind the legend of the kings To spread our heart to the kingdom of dust Where heroes are lost, where now reigns the shadowlord Caved in shadow is his magic throne Korn disciple not extreme at all Gothic his kingdom, told by old jesters Pride and terror live together In his stormy heart Fire's riding to valleys of death While shadows are rising from bloody hells Fire's riding to Hargor, the town Where evil and terror conquer the clouds We sing to the wind the legend of the kings To spread our heart to the kingdom of dust Where heroes are lost, where now reigns the shadowlord Cry with me to fill the crystal sea Cry for all the victims of these stones Shed your tears to fill the silent fall And wash in it your swords Fire's riding to valleys of death While shadows are rising from bloody hells Fire's riding to Hargor, the town Where evil and terror conquer the clouds We sing to the wind the legend of the kings To spread our heart to the kingdom of dust Where heroes are lost, where now reigns the shadowlord
This is awesome but I wonder why they changed it so much for Dawn of Victory album. Verses are different and there's a lot more instrumental sections. It's great to have two versions though!
The album version actually tells you about dargor and foreshadows his future betrayal. This version still briefly mentions it, but it's glossed over and much more vague. In fact, this version of the song adds little to the story that wasn't already clear from the rest of the album. So that change makes sense Why they cut away half of the song instead of just changing the lyrics, well there's a lot of shit old Rhapsody did that doesn't make sense and was never explained. Why was this single never released digitally? Why can't I play Triumph or Agony, my favorite album of theirs, on Spotify? Why did they neuter one of their coolest songs on this album? Why is _Trolls in the Dark (Instrumental)_ listed as instrumental when no lyrical version seems to exist? Questions we'll never know the answer to
@@naverilllang digital releases aren't the band's decisions, publishers' legal disputes etc (I'm pretty sure ToA is missing because Joey DeMaio's MCM...). The word "instrumental" is usually used after song titles in brackets even if there aren't other versions - just to mention, why not (btw it isn't a common thing in Rhapsody discography, but still acceptable) ;)
@@x302justice That's not the case, cd supports 80 minutes of music and Dawn of Victory album isn't close to that limit. I believe it has more to do with album structure, ie having long song at the end of album, and this version would've been kinda out of place as middle song in that regard. I think one reason for changes was to make song more easily accessible (structurally).
@@Pianist203 Got it, so it went against their formula. I wish they could have gone against their set formulas more. It later made the newer albums lose the classic uniqueness of Rhapsody magic since all of the songs got so repetitive. Still, I respect this band so much. The first 3 albums are 11/10 god tier music.
@@Pianist203 I don't know if it would've been out of place, I mean Metallica uses to put a long song in the middle of their albums (Fade to Black, Sanitarium, One.) I downloaded a version of the album that actually included this version as a bonus track, but it wasn't on the CD when I eventually bought it.

Lyrics:
Not so far from the wide dragonland
Where the valleys breathe the smell of dark hate
Dargor is marching with the poor Airin
There where dark has ruled forever for the demonknights
Fire's riding to valleys of death
While shadows are rising from bloody hells
Fire's riding to Hargor, the town
Where evil and terror conquer the clouds
We sing to the wind the legend of the kings
To spread our heart to the kingdom of dust
Where heroes are lost, where now reigns the shadowlord
Caved in shadow is his magic throne
Korn disciple not extreme at all
Gothic his kingdom, told by old jesters
Pride and terror live together
In his stormy heart
Fire's riding to valleys of death
While shadows are rising from bloody hells
Fire's riding to Hargor, the town
Where evil and terror conquer the clouds
We sing to the wind the legend of the kings
To spread our heart to the kingdom of dust
Where heroes are lost, where now reigns the shadowlord
Cry with me to fill the crystal sea
Cry for all the victims of these stones
Shed your tears to fill the silent fall
And wash in it your swords
Fire's riding to valleys of death
While shadows are rising from bloody hells
Fire's riding to Hargor, the town
Where evil and terror conquer the clouds
We sing to the wind the legend of the kings
To spread our heart to the kingdom of dust
Where heroes are lost, where now reigns the shadowlord

My dad (Dr. Leon Crèam) sold me this album in 2014
This version is an entirely new song. Far more extended and detailed.
Wow, this is almost an entirely different song from the album version. Awesome.
I remember buying this album the first days when it came out. 90s to early 00s where the glory days of europower. Great band and lots of memories 🥲
Its been 11 years since i saw this, goosebumps
Never heard this version. Heck ya
This song is now old enough to drink
But it turned 18 4 years ago
@@JoaquinRodrigUEzP he's still right
@@x302justice I guess so, but you know what he meant, especially considering it's an Italian song

Why you gotta hurt me like that?? 😭

Dargor, Shadowlord of the Black Mountain complete edition, this version was included in Holy Thunderforce EP, Rhapsody old School and the best 🐲⚡
whoa! thats epic yoL! bravo ~ Roarr!
i wish this version was on spotify aswell :C
5:18 to around 6:00 is such a cool part of this song
4:33 - 5:17, Epic Part
Why did they cut out an entire part of this song and not include it in the actual Dawn of Victory Album?
probably CD file size limits on the main album, so we got the full dargor song on the single before the rest of the alum got released
