Absolutely stellar work. You perfectly captured the vibe. I've been to Japan numerous times and I felt as though I was there again while watching your short. Kudos.
Japan has a special place in my heart, I consider it my true home. Alas I am no longer there but this video takes me gently back to a people and a nation in full feeling and emotion. I might have had wet eyes. This is technically superb, but really it is the combination of visuals and sound that make it special. Thank you.
wow Julius. i've been to a lot of these places and feel super nostalgic rn. you have a great eye for the everyday scenes. the colors mixed with the music and sounds from the moments, so well done.
The best footage I have seen with these lenses, the cinematography is so beautiful. I remember meeting the musician (4:08) in the streets of Kyoto in 2018.
I'm a Japanese who loves Ryuichi Sakamoto and I use FX3 just like you. But you have a completely different perspective than me. The city I know looks like a whole other world to me. Amazing!!
Amazing work that shows just how far digital cinematography has come. Startlingly well-balanced rendering of light that captures both bright highlights and dark shadows in a way looks natural. The compositions look like they actually belong in a wide frame. For someone who is only twenty years old, you're making a great start! Stunning!
@@juliuschurafilms Hi Julius, I really like your composition and everything, so inspiring! I have a question, if you were me, a starter!, would you again start with Tamron or you would go with Blazar Remus, a cinematic prime lens? I know it's a stupid question, but I am a starter and quality really maters more for me. a 50mm pushes you to be more creative because of it limitation but instead is giving you better quality, I highly appreciate your thoughts!
@ Tamron 28-75 was a fantastic starter lens. The blazar is less clinical and more vintage looking so it serves as a niche artistic look. I’d recommend the Tamron because it’s sharp and affordable with a useful focal length range! Good luck!
@@juliuschurafilms I am thinking to put the extra 500$ to get less clinical look, but in terms of the fact that I do not have the versatility of the Tamron and I have only one focal length, what's your thoughts for me as an starter? I personally feel I can find ways to work around it, but your thought would ne highly appreciate it, because you got so much experience so far!
@@OrganicaShadows mmmm if ur confident and you want the look of anamorphic right away sure. But also know you likely have to buy an adapter too. I still would recommend a variable focal length spherical lens
Thanks for sharing your video! It was super peaceful. The music and the whole vibe really made me appreciate the little everyday moments that I sometimes overlook. Keep making awesome videos; you've got a fan who can't wait to see your next one!
Gorgeous film! I think UA-cam knew I have watched almost every video in existence on Ryuichi Sakamoto and his music and have been researching the Sony FX3...and the algorithm did not disappoint. Thanks for this! The music and visuals really work so well together and your editing is magnificent. Have always wanted to go to Japan, but this took me there.
What I notice is you used natural lighting . And your compositional skills are EXCELLENT. If Sony places their cine Alta color science (that's in the BURANO) in the next version of the FX3 they would win the world war camera wars
@@johndoe-rd3hq yes all natural, candid shots! Thank you! Sony has a massive opportunity and the FX3 is honestly such a crazy camera, and it’s been out for a few years at this point.
