My school is strict when it comes to safety. Once there was a murder near our school so we had a lockdown . After a few months they changed the wooden doors to metal . If there were intruders an alarm would go of and there would be huge chains blocking doors and the classrooms are sound proof during a lock down . When the alarm goes off the classroom becomes sound proof so the intruder won’t her children crying or shouting . Windows would be closed with metal curtains. Sure it’s a bit to much but at least my school wants us to be safe
there is no too much, that school is like the white house for children my schools only defense system is 1 foot thick doors with the school built out of bricks. its windows are not made of glass. they use a openable and closable 5 inch thick "curtain" its so strong that it was approved to be a natural disaster shelter too
