Dex makes you feel like you have legitimate agency and constant priority with your moves while Strength makes you feel like a roaming boss that left its boss arena. You are slow and are easy to outmaneuver but if you should ever land a combo of any kind you'll decimate anything and anyone in your way that isn't another Strength or tank build.
@@MGrey-qb5xz Sellswords are the fastest boss killing weapon and very good for pvp and you don’t need a status for them, a dark or lightning is good though.

Honestly there was no skill there just spamming two handed R1 which can’t be parried and if you go for backstab with stamina left , the back swing will knock you out of the backstab. So yea honestly he just didn’t roll enough.

I mean, you could technically raise your E. load limit enough to get both a decent armor, heavy weapon, and fast rolling. Though I can’t do that, as I always love using magic, that would take too much levels for builds like mine that already have a little of everything, and then a lot of Int.

Funnily enough i combined both weapons into one build I got the Greatsword in one hand and frayed blade into another I know powerstancing isnt good in DS3 but surprisingly i had fun with that build

Like why did malenia have to be some anime girl that can do 30 hits at once in a game with Norse and Celtic mythology, and they put whey too much effort into making the katanas good.
I wish there was an ice katana, like the Yukianesa and it's moveset. Probably it would be nerfed into the ground like rivers of blood cuz strength builds gonna cry.

@@toddjones1480not necessarily, especially in dark souls 3. Early game bosses are a nightmare for magic only runs, deacons, great wood, crystal sage and wolnir are all AIDS without a melee weapon. On the other hand magic trivializes bosses like dancer, sulyvahn or dragonslayer armour. So strength is easier early game and magic is more overpowered late game.
Depends on the user, but dexterity is more agressive, better for backstabs and has more dps. Also with dexterity you are basically guaranteed to hit your targets. Strength is more passive, useful for taking multiple enemies, staggering, and harder to play in pvp imo (even though I only wield ugs)

I say people shouldn’t be fighting for which is “better”, and instead just come to appreciate the variety of playstyles this game offers. Personally, I go with a melee witch, putting points mainly into Int, and then both Str and Dex, so I’m able to use both light and heavy, then I infuse my weapons with magic (Though I usually put more points into Dex, the heavier Str weapons are too slow for my taste. I hate getting hit.).

Strength wins cause there’s barely any skill required you could just spam r1 with all the poise in the world and not stagger while dex requires you to time your attacks and dodge timely or else you’ll just get two shotted by a great sword or you can parry high risk high reward.
Spamming R1 would only work if you’re throwing yourself straight at the enemy. If you try to avoid getting hit and take advantage of the enemy’s weakness, they’ll have a hard time, Str, Dex, Int, Fth, whatever build they’re going.
Not really brainlessly… If you don’t run straight at a strength user, and actually try to take advantage of their weaknesses, they’ll have a really hard time.

I've noticed certain weapons cause so much stun that you can't roll to escape the next attack and as you saw it only took 2 hits

Strength is probably the easiest way to play this game.
Any kind of magic is infinitely easier than any kind of melee.
