This is a magnificent vision. All planned capitals built in other countries are built for the CAR with ridiculously huge and wide roads everywhere. They have not been built for PEOPLE. This capital looks like it is putting PEOPLE FIRST. Congratulations Indonesia.

Yes!!! Houston Texas experiences extreme flooding while the surrounding rural communities never have extreme flooding.
The huge amounts of parking lots and cement make the water difficult to drain. Indonesia seems like it's doing the right thing.

The first phase of the project are about to finish, on the 17th of August 2024 the city is venue of 79th indonesia independence day. The whole construction project still need years for completion but let see how man-made creations will nature will suit nature environment to serve people-first concept.

Interesting, so instead of doing some ground breaking to make flat surface for the buildings, making it on top of some strong pillars to preserve the ground contours..... Can't wait to see the implementations

This reminds me of Agats, Asmat in Papua, they don't have roads for cars as the roads houses everything are on stilts as a result they go everywhere either with walking or by electric scooters. There are no cars. I hope he also learns from it, since it can be said agats is the prototype of this kind of city.

@Zaydan Naufal Basic tip : google exist, it may not always have the perfect answer but you can at least try it to make an inform discussion
Edit : changed "Pro tip" to "Basic tip" since it's pretty much essential if you're on the internet

@Zaydan Naufal e-scooter is not a brand new thing. It’s just not popular in larger cities like Jakarta and the rest of Java because the city is just not designed that way.
Papua on the other hand, is not designed for cars, they place on emphasis on the people, and it makes sense for you to use an e-scooter because everything is closer.

It sounds too good to be true. Let's see how it goes in the next 15 years.

Actually there is a city almost entirely build on stilt in indonesia already its Agats. Granted it is small (though quite large for Papua standards), but they go everywhere with electric scooters or walking. There are rarely cars because most roads are not big enough for cars.

      Mereka bisa melakukannya sendiri.

I actually really like the name Nusantara, it honors our past by bringing back the name that our ancestors call this land in the past.
It’s not so weird either, Brazil is naming their capital Brasilia. And Mexico’s capital is literally Mexico City.

@@No-cc1fq Nusantara itu adalah sebutan untuk pengabungan pulau-pulau di Indonesia. Sedang IKN Nusantara menunjukkan tempat lokasi yang lebih terperinci.
