Can you show us on how to OC a ryzen processor? if that's possible.
I'm really happy about it! I have two videos on the channel about Ryzen undervolting!
this is what I called straight to the point video
Ahahaha thanks a lot man! I really dislike when people take 10min to say what could be said in 3 minutes!
I wouldnt recommend going up by increments of 100 on the core clock. You can get a more accurate maximum if you go up by increments of 20 or 30. That’s just a recommendation though. Great video btw man ! :)
That’s good advice, it’s gonna take more time but be more accurate! I like to fast track my crash point first and then fine tune it, but it really is just a methodology difference! Thanks a lot for commenting!
@@ImWateringPSUs either or yeah man I agree lol. Have a great thanksgiving man :)
Bro you have to turn on MSI Afterburn once you overclock before running any game for overclocking to take effect or I can play without turning on MSI afterburn?
Short video without bullcrap and straight to the point. Reminds me of those indian videos with super specific problems
What if I went up 900 mhz and it still dint crash? In tripping put I have a intell i5 10400 cpu

Does anyone know how to help me I can mess with my temp or power limit and I don’t see the curve editor
Everything is in the tutorial! Go into settings and enable voltage control and voltage monitoring though
Bro please help me my fps in games was so good when i first bought my pc but a couple months it got worse. like really bad i can barley run fortniite it always drops my fps and stutters. Im actually so tired of it idk what to do
Between this method and the undervolting one which is better in your opinions? Great vid btw
Personally I prefer the UV for stability and overall noise & power draw

I have the same card and yet when I open MSI afterburner my core clock is showing at a base 1530 and forcing it up 200 doesnt change it
Got my 1660 ti up to 200 and 750 memory clock, what should I set the fan speed to I now have it set at 60
i have a cuestion bro, when you already have the overclock tested and saved in the msi afterburner, can i close it to play? or to have the oc enabled i must open the program?
after overclocking, we have to save data in that disc button ? or its just automatic process ? and what happens when i turn off afterburner ?
Yup you do need to save it in afterburner and to have it start with windows
Hello and thank you for the very informative tutorial, I would like to know how many more FPS (+x FPS) you gain when you overclock your graphics card please.
It really depends on the card, how good the silicon is and how much you manage to overclock! The best way is for you to follow the tutorial and find out
Obrigado irmão, thanks guy
I'm glad it's working! Thanks a lot for the comment and take care, consider subbing for more tech content!
I have a i5 9400f and a 1660 super i heard you can’t oc that cpu but can i still oc the gpu for a substantial increase in performance and frames ?
idk why but my pc at one point could run 300 fps but one day it stuck to 144 and my fps would drop to 70 and all and all would be playing with stutters and lag and no matter what i do nothing helps me what should i do
That does require a long diagnostic, but in short:
do a fresh install of windows
check that the PC is not overheating, undervolt if necessary!
hey, when i did +120 core clock and +1000 memory clock on my 1660 ti and benchmarked GTA 5 my fps on non oc was 155 on avarage meanwhile on OC it was 125 avarage, any idea why this is the case and what i should do? earnt my sub from this simple and straight forward video
Here I am! Try a slightly lower memory overclock, you might be a bit unstable! Also remember that average FPS depends on many factors :)
Hi, I do undervolt to 1935mhz on 900mv and stable most of the time on 1935mhz and somtimes down to 1920mhz when the temperature increases, is that normal or that mean overclock?
bro have u got any issues after this or is this completely safe for my gpu? ihave the same gpu and i wanna try this
is this apply to newer rtx too?
yo, do you know, why my gpu speed stays same? Its on 1530MHz, even if I change the core clock to like 200. Thx
So do you have to do this everytime you play a game other than the one you have already overclocked? (Sorry for my bad English)
Nope, you can just save the profile and it will always work! But be sure to subscribe to the channel
can i do this using my 475w psu?
Gracias amigo
jel radi i dalje za GTX 1660 Super 8GB?
Think I broke mine.. it crashed and now I can’t load anything up to change it before it crashes again..
Hello
Is it safe to have the power limit and temp limit at max? Would like a clear explanation for a layman, thank you!
Yes it is! Basically we max them out to avoid the GPU throttling, but it’s not gonna hit them either way :)
it works on the GTX 1660 (Normal) Very Good! i actually went from 81°c to about 50°c
I’m really happy it was helpful, thanks a lot for taking the time to leave some feedback :) Consider subscribing if you wanna support the channel & for more tutorials!
I did the undervolting and overclocking didnt really boost my fps but i did notice the graphics improved but still my gameplay on warzone 2 is still the same
That’s because you have DLSS enabled in game! That limits your FPS and adjusts the graphics accordingly to hit an FPS target
@@ImWateringPSUs no i have 1660 super amd ryzen 5 2600 and a 75hz even though im at the lowest settings its stuttering and so laggy
its most likely ur cpu. I have the same card except a ryzen 7 3700x and its good on wz@@arviepedrocha6680
What are the safest settings that prioritize GPU life span over maximum performance?
@Imwateringpsus it wont let me move / acess the fan and temp settings
Try going into the setting and enabling voltage monitoring and voltage control!
Bro i tried these settings and made it lower settings and im gettin crashes every time i deleted msi afterburner but im gettin crashes every time and my pc gives blue screen
You overclocked too far. Just hit the reset button in afterburner and you’ll be fine
@@ImWateringPSUswhat if you can’t open afterburner before it crashes..?
Why do you have 2000 mhz but I only have 300?
So can i just copy yours and do 150 and 800 or is it gonna be different for mine?
Slightly different for yours, but if you wanna copy it set +100 and +700
i have the same GPU, using with I5 9400f, how much overclock can i do?
It's GPU dependant, follow the tutorial and find out! You might also wanna try the Undervolting tutorial!
So I'm at 125 core and 1000 memory what's the difference between that and your setup?
Can i do this to 1660ti in laptop? Or is it only done for desktop? Thanks in advance
You can do it on a laptop as well but with lower voltage and lower clocks. I have dedicated tutorials for laptops as well
i got gtx 1660 super and i5 9400f. ik its a bottleneck but is it worth overclocking the gpu?
Yes it is! Also subscribing to the channel helps reducing the bottleneck :)
I recently got 1660s should i do +100 and +200 as safe oc cause i am scared
Do I have to keep afterburner open while I play games to keep the settings?
Yess, well said! Also subscribing to the channel will increase your fps by 5%
Its me again ,Can you make a video showing the difference fps in game with stock and you overclock settings ? I want to buy a card , a doubt about how long this card can go.
My screen went black help
Is it safe to do this any one tell me,if I do this every time does it long term damages my card ?
msi 1660 super gaming x : 1700 gpu clock (+170) 2032 mem clock (+1125) run fine
I’m really happy it was helpful! Thanks a lot for taking the time to write this! :)
Lmao, no matter how much i put in core clock, it always crash.
Is overclocking is dangerous
1660 super oc = rtx 3050
better, 1660 super stock and 3050 are the same thing, just look at the benchmarks, 1660s just dont have dlss and ray tracing
How your overclocked gpu temp is that much low even on 45% fan speed?
@@ImWateringPSUs I Have zotac gtx 1660 Super amp it's temp goes to 72°C at 75% fan speed and 1950 clock on heavy gaming. Is it normal?
have a asus 1660 super with ryzen 5 1500x and core was 168 and memory was at 925 but dropped it to 800 to be safe
how you can realize that is crashed ... I don't understand that
Crashing is very noticeable, if the benchmark freezes or your game freezes, thats when you know it has crashed
I have a r5 3600 with it should i oc?
You should UV/OC the CPU! I actually have a video about it coming soon!
mine is stable with 235 on the core clock and 580 on memory, it runs well, overclock like an year ago, and zero problems
@@ayden4674 mine crashes at 200 too, it can run at 190 but for extended periods, it still crashed so I put it at 150. Mem glitches at 900 so, 150 and 800 for me, too
Is this the same as overclocking through the BIOS?
You cannot overclock GPU via the bios with modern cards, so yes this is the best way!
hi so i was useing this and i accidentally put 500 and i think my pc broke
Do I have to keep the afterburner open to keep this setting?
My pleasure! :) If the video was useful consider subscribing for more like this! :)
I got all the way up to 1800 on memory overlock
what is the temp limit on the gpu?
It's usually around 80C but it shouldn't reach it, so we casn just unlock it!
