Shaky Camera - can cause headaches or visual annoyance 3. Titles of videos don't represent the content well (e.g. this vid implies I will see a battle report, instead it's your shopping list & thoughts) 4. Voice & audio has a bit of an echo 5. Lighting can be improved How to improve? Whiter &brighter lights in studio Make a script - run it through chat-GPT to shorten it to bullet points - focus mainly on those and add some extra points yourself (but remain consistent and short) Increase your hashtags so the video appears in more places (e.g. #wargamming #boardgaimg #wargames #boardgames #judge #Dredd etc.) Get an A.I. audio program to enhance & make it more clear Make the tiles reference what you pan to show e.g. this video could have been "Preparing for a campaign I Judge Dredd I Episode 0" Use "Shakefree" to have an A.I. that removes camera shake (or anything you prefer which does similar) Also try to sue titles which invoke a question - it's like clickbait but you gotta play the algorithm game. Final note, you can also buy some views to get some initial traffic, everyone does it so don't feel bad. I am excited to see how you do the campaign, the model range looks great.

It is very valuable and you taking the time to help with insight that we, and others may take for granted or over look things is a great value to add to any comment. @@BoardGameManiacs i have a playlist i'll make public called "Epic Battle Reports." You can go there and then save all the videos in your own private playlist (although many are tailored for games I wanted to potentially do battle reports for, and thus needed SFX tutorials for). But to me PlayOnTabletop does a great job of making a quick 40 minute wh40k show that watches like a sportscast. BUT they shop out all their painting now to "pro" batch painters, and their armies are looking trashier and trashier which isn't good for close-ups. Macrophotography and videography are CRITICAL for good batreps. Most people don't know how to light or focus and their vids are so hard to watch. Same with "shakey cam", and how lazy (albeit fast) it is to just walk around with a camera and press 'record' while playing. It's all about the cinematography and angles - we want to see a story being told. Speaking of, narrative is key. Are we watching something with a narrator who fills in what we can't see because the minis don't move? The guy who does Action Figure battle reports is amazing at this (also a good balance of humor, but not everyone wants that - but with judge dredd, I'd say that fits). Or will it still play nice where everything is vocally acted out, lines of dialogue where we are "shown" what is happening rather than a narrator telling us? Along with that, because they're batreps, people want to see dice rolls, cards played, etc, and know why things are being rolled and what's needed. but having that explained breaks the narrative and bogs down the story. I wouldn't do that if i were making them. Clearly you're passionate about this - your terrain looks great, and you have all the camera stuff set up. That being said, we don't want to watch the action play out as if filmed from a helicopter on evening news. Only use that for certain shots, but bring us closer to the action, preferably on the level with the characters (you can use high resolution mirrors set on the table and then flip the image in post-processing if need be). Then it must be determined, "Do I film this or photograph it?" Either can work from moment to moment, shot to shot. Aftereffects and sound effects really flesh out the story, even if they aren't top quality. 4 hands down has great battletech reports for example. I hope this helps. it'd be nice to see some more really amazing batreps out there. Most suck to be honest and people watch them only out of desperation. You could break the mold. That's what I'd shoot for if I were doing it. On the other hand, sometimes this is a way for us to realize we're better spending our time doing something else, like caring for friends and family. Who knows...
