    The difference between having a Scroll and a getting a Tab.
    A Tab, means you can do it.
    A Scroll, means you are doing it.
    Awesome video, keep ‘em coming!

    Long before the advent of Marine Raiders, Navy SEALs, Special Tactics Airmen, and Army Special Forces, the Rangers of the United States Army Special Operations Command ( USASOC) goes back to Ranger- type outfits prior to the foundation of the United States, and even It's Continental Army, Marines, and Navy. Thank GOD ( Father, Son, Holy Spirit) that I Myself was able to have Served and Sacrificed both as a MARINE and as a More Elite Soldier, id est, RANGER. Sua Sponte, Rangers Lead The Way 🇺🇸🇺🇲🪖💣💥🔥🪂!

    I'm in the Canadian Army, but I truly wish I could join the Ranger Regiment. One of the most elite units to ever grace the earth.

      You could join CSOR their Canadian and are a tier 2 sf unit just like the Rangers are a tier 2 sf unit. We not only have tier 2 sf just like the US but we even have a tier 1 sf unit called JTF2 you should look up top 5 longest sniper kills 3 of them are Canadian and the No 1 longest sniper kill is JTF2.

      @@anothernamlesscommenter352of course, I've trained with CANSOFCOM before a couple times and they are their own rightful badasses, but the Rangers are a unit I've looked up to since I was a wee lad. They have such a rich history and a strong legacy. Just hearing the motto "Rangers lead the way" still gives me goosebumps.

      You can join the Ranger Regiment. In fact, one of the bank robbing Rangers in Washington was a Canadian citizen and left for Canada and fought extradition while there.

      Brother, you CAN
      Get in touch with an Ranger Liason and put your packet in for RRC. I have 0 clue about the pipeline now, but I do know that they have opened the doors for candidates of ALL RANKS and BRANCHES. And The Regiment has gotten A Lot bigger so don't 'self-select' or talk yourself out of it. If YOU are serious and REALLY want to transition (for lack of a better phrase) to The Regiment you CAN DO IT. Just some advice from you Uncle Brad in the end you do what you want. Good Luck

      B.S. it may not be the school you know it as today, & maybe 'school' wasn't the correct usage on my part, however there most certainly was Ranger training setup in the States during WWII. I wish my cousin (a 3 war veteran) was still alive to ask the particulars but he passed a few years ago.

    • @moosepasshippie

      If you don’t get an option 40, more than likely the 75th recruiters will show up at BCT offering option 40. Before signing on the line with your recruiter make sure your MOS is included in the 75th.

    • @thetrueman6615

      What moose said. However you can also sign an option 4 (airborne contract) and a 75th recruiter will come visit around week 2 tower week. There you can sign a paper and get another chance to volunteer.

    What happened to all the other Ranger battalions after WW2? How did they decide to consolidate down to just 3 units? I've always wondered that.

    • @gabrielrae7647

      The whole military shrunk since then because technological improvements mean less personell are needed.

    • @MaineLandReviews
      @MaineLandReviews 10 місяців тому +1

      Because People don’t just stay in the military forever lol, after WW2 the military reduced in size by something crazy like 60/70% and enlistment rates were very low for a while. And so especially in special operations / Specially trained light infantry units were reduced in size more so than others and yeah basically they consolidated them down, that’s all.

    • @dirtygrunt
      @dirtygrunt 10 місяців тому +6

      All the ranger battalions were deactivated after WW2. They then stood up some ranger companies in Korea war. Then deactivated after the war. The modern ranger regiment wasn't stood up until the mid 70's by the Army Chief of Staff. Initially there were only 2 battalions stood up then in the mid 80's 3rd battalion was activated.

      From excerpts from the late then-Sgt. Leonard Lomell, the Germans had moved the guns back inland around two miles in response to the seaborne invasion. It was Len, and his close comrade Jack Kuhn who ran that two miles inland, disabled the guns that they could, ran back to the beach for resupply with thermite grenades, and then ran back to destroy the remaining German weapons. Incredible.

      Different mission set. Rangers are more direct action, light infantry, combat style missions, and Green Berets do more like behind the scenes, unconventional warfare stuff, mostly training other countries' military units to do their own work, but can still stack bodies if/when they need to.
